CHAPTER 6
Recap:
Evan has a date with Megan. Jale is not ecstatic about that. Also, Jale is stupid.
Megan's POV
"Good morning Tamtam!" I greeted.
"Anyone who says good morning on a monday deserves to be slapped."
"Good thing it's Tuesday." I smirked.
"It's not." Tammy's jaw dropped.
"Oh, but it is." I said an octave lower for dramatic effect.
"Cr*p I missed a meeting!"
"A meeting? What meeting?"
"Uh just, some uh friends and I meet up once a week or so and we um discuss... Things."
"Ah things. Very graphic." I nodded.
"Haha yeah, oh my gosh Lucy hi!" She said running up to a person whose name I can tell you is not Lucy.
"Tamtam has a secret." I sang.
I sighed.
I wonder if she'll tell me one day.
Ah, no matter.
"Hey Megan!" Someone called.
I was whisked around to find myself nose to nose with Evan.
"Hey Evan." I smiled.
"Ready for our date tonight?"
"Yeah, where are we going?"
"My family's restaurant." He grinned.
"Really?" I raised a brow. "I thought- nevermind."
"Thought what?"
"It's okay, nevermind, forget it."
"Tell me." He pouted. "Pwease?"
I chuckled. "I thought you'd take me to a bar or something." I admitted.
"Nah, that's more Jale's kind of thing."
"I see."
************
"Tada!"
"You brought me to McDonalds?" I raised an amused eyebrow.
"Yup." Evan said proudly.
"And you own McDonalds?"
"Of course."
"Why am I having trouble believing that?"
He eyed me up and down. "Because you're a smart girl."
My brows creased. "Thanks?"
Evan leaded me to a table where we sat down face-to-face.
"So Megan, I have no interest whatsoever of getting in your pants."
"Um, yay?"
"Meaning, I don't actually want to date you. No offence." He added hastily.
"None taken... Kind of."
"I just wanted to talk."
"About what?"
He exhaled. "Jale."
"Continue."
"You see, Jaley boy is a bit of a nimrod. You'll have to excuse him for that. I genuinely think he's interested in dating you but you have to be... Careful."
