• ETHANS P.O.V •
It was 7:00 pm and I was waiting for gray and alaya to get back from being out all day. My mom and Cameron set up the backyard to make it look like it did the night of the summer get together. I was wearing a black tux with a white undershirt and a black bow tie with black dress shoes.
Gray: " were pulling up, she fell asleep"
I pulled out my phone to read the text from gray, I smiled to myself remembering all the times she used to fall asleep looking out the window, I fixed my tux and opened the front door when I saw Grayson's car pull up in the driveway, I stood in the door frame and watched as he put the car In park then woke alaya up. She sat up running her hands through her hair, I saw the promise ring on her finger and I instantly put my hand in my pocket where the wedding ring was, we made eyes contact and her smile went ear to ear. She unbuckled her seatbelt and jumped out of the car. She ran up to me jumping in my arms, I held her like it was the last time i would ever get to hold her in my arms again. Her arms were wrapped around my torso with her head resting on my chest. Grayson stepped out of the car with his arms full of Alayas stuff
"Help" he said and alaya turned her head laughing, she grabbed her stuff out of his arms and walked inside. I walked behind her with my hand on her back,
" why are you all dressed up" she asked putting her stuff down on the counter. I smiled and looked down at her
"There's a dress laying on the bed for you. Along with heals and some jewelry. Grayson is gonna take your camera and work magic on it. So go get out of those clothes and get fancy baby" I said rubbing her arm up and down. She tucked a strand of hair behind her ear and looked up at me.
"Deal" she said and ran upstairs laughing
"Are you ready" Grayson said walking to the fridge. I looked at him then at the ground and replayed every laugh, tear, argument, me and alaya had in my head. I smiled to myself looking back up at Grayson
" ready as I'll ever be" I  magic said placing my hand in my right suit pocket feeling the box the ring was in.
~~~~ later that night~~~~
Some of my family came along with cam and my parents. Alaya was still getting ready which has taken her 2 hours.
"Look" Grayson said nudging my shoulder, I looked up to the direction he was pointing and there she was. The dress was red and flowed out at the bottom. Her hair was in a messy bun with diamond bobby-pins holding it in place, strands of hair fell to the side of her face, she looked absolutely perfect, I walked towards the staircase where she was coming down from, she walked to the kitchen and grabbed a glass and filled it with tap water, I walked up behind her wrapping my hands around her waist, I rested my head on the crook of her shoulder as she put her glass down
"You look perfect" I said kissing her neck softly, she turned around wrapping her arms around my neck.
"As do you" she said giving me a peck on the lips. She grabbed my hand and we started walking towards everyone outside.
~~~ 12:00 am~~~
" okay everyone I have a few things to say" I said standing up from my seat. I can't believe this is actually about to happen I thought to myself. I looked around and all eyes were on me, I looked down and Alayas green eyes were glowing with happiness.
" first thank you everyone for coming you all look amazing, but now to what this whole party is about Alaya can you walk over to that spot under the tree"
She looked over at the tree and smiled, she got out of her seat making her way towards the tree, I followed her with my hand placed on the middle of her back
We got under the tree and I began to talk to her like no one else was watching
" ever since the day I met you you've brought me nothing but adrenaline and happiness, you're the light that guides me through my hardest times, we've been through some pretty shitty stuff and have been faced with many many obstacles but we've held each others hands through it all, you have became my brothers best friend, you have became someone he can go to with everything. You have became my family's favorite person. You hold everything in place and I can't believe how much you have done for me and for my amazing family but most of all you have became my whole world, when I wake up next to you every morning I smile to myself cause I know my whole world is laying right there next to me peacefully. You're so perfect to me and I'll never ever let anything happen to you. I want you forever" I got down on my left knee and Alaya covered her mouth as tears ran down her face. I pulled the ring out of my pocket and opened the box
" Alaya angelic rose Lancaster I want all of you for the rest of my life, will you marry me" I sat the mic down on the floor and looked up into her eyes she shook her head saying yes I stood up and out bodies crashed together, I held onto her like it was the very last time I was ever gonna get to touch her again, everyone was clapping and my family was in tears. She let go of me and I slowly slid the ring on her finger it fit perfectly, she looked up at me and I held her face with my hand, I kissed her softly she smiled through the kiss and that made me smile. We parted lips turning towards everyone, my mom, dad, Grayson and Cameron were all in tears Alaya walked up to them hugging them all and of course I joined. After a couple of minutes transportin by Kodak black started playing Alaya and Grayson screamed
"Why are you screaming" I asked and Grayson took Alaya by the wrist dragging her to the middle of the yard to dance
" ITS OUR SONG" Alaya screamed she started dancing and rapping along with Grayson I stood there and watched as everyone gathered around them dancing. Everything started moving in slow motion her smile was the brightest thing in the night she spun around and laughed like there was no tomorrow. " I'm so proud of you" my dad said walking up next to me.
"I still see your mother like I did when I first met her and it will never change" he said patting my shoulder walking away towards my mom. Let me touch your fire by Arizona came on and everyone started slow dancing, I saw Grayson and cam walk inside to get more drinks. I walked through the crowd of people swaying back and forth. Alaya was standing in the middle of everyone waiting for me. I smiled at her then grabbed her by the waist and she wrapped her arms around me, we started swaying back and forth with her head on my chest and my head in the crook of her neck.
" I love you"
