Backstage of the band My chemical romance. Fans were waiting for them to show up.
Mikey Way , the bassist, said:
"Ray, Gerard, Bob, only five minutes left."
Gerard was sitting in his dressing room. He was preparing himself to act happy on stage. Cause he knew that fans want to see happy musicians on stage. But in the inside, Gerard was screaming for help. Gerard has hard form depression since 11 years old. At school, he was badly bullied. That was one ofthe reasons why Gerard sank into depression. He also badly self harmed. And his parents knew nothing about it cause Gerard was too afraid to tell them and tried to act happy. When he was 18, he also sank into alcoholism.
The concert started. Gerard faked his smile and came to the stage. My chemical romance started to play music. None of the members noticed that Gerard was not feeling okay,c ause Gerard was very good at hiding his real feelings.
After the concert, Ray said:
"Would you all like to go somewhere?"
All members agreed, except Gerard. He said:
"No, thanks, I will pass. I actually have some plans"
Well, band members only thought that Gerard is just simply go somewhere alone or just will watch a movie or something.
Mikey, Ray and Bob went to restaurant. And Gerard went to the tour bus. He went to his dressing room. He unlocked his drawer. There were many small knives, razor blades, and sharp scissors. Gerard does self harm with those things.Everytime he did it it, he was scared, but did it anyways, even though he knew he should not do it. Gerard decided to lock himself in the room. He sat on the chair, took the blade and it touched his hand. Gerard hated doing it but he was thinking that he can not help it. Gerard was crying. His hands were already full of cuts and scars. He was sad about doing it, but he thought he can not stop it. Gerard saw the world as scary, dark and hateful place.
Suddenly, Gerard heard knocking in the bus door. He dressed up his long sleeved jacket and went to outside. Next to the bus, he saw a young man, with black hair, black shirt , black jacket, grey jeans and black sport shoes. The young man was smiling. He was about 20 years old. Gerard said:
"Hey. Who are you?"
The young man answered:
"Hey. I am big fan of your band. I am Frank Iero. I am 20 years old. I can play guitar well. I wanted to ask you if I could join your band. Because that is my dream. "
Gerard did not expect that, but he said:
"Well, I need to talk about it with other members. Guve me your phone number and I will call you, okay?"
"Sure! That would mean everything to me."- Frank said.
Gerard smiled to Frank. Frank smiled to him too.
Gerard went to his room again and called his brother Mikey. He asked if all the members would agree about the new member.
After few minutes, all members were in the bus. Frank also came here. He told the members about himself. Then Ray gave Frank guitar to play. Frank played guitar amazing. So all the members decided to take Frank into their band. Gerard smiled and said:
"Well, Frank, you are officially a member of My Chemical Romance!"
"Oh my god, I am so happy about it! Do not worry, I can play almost all of your songs on guitar."
Gerard did not know why, but he felt really happy that Frank joined the band. He felt something really good.
Mikey, Gerard, Ray, Bob, and Frank celebrated Frank joining the band.
