Christine slowly opened her bedroom door, after grabbed  a full bottle of champagne she had stashed in her bedroom.  She wanted something stronger, like vodka or whiskey but she didn't want to get paralytically drunk by accident either and lumber Stevie with taking her of her, like a few other times, same as Stevie had done on various occasions.   Christine didn't care about looking after Stevie, but she didn't want to stress Stevie out by being too drunk herself.

She was soon at Stevie's door and felt the same butterflies in her stomach, she mentally kicked herself, knowing she was acting and feeling like a lovesick teenager. She soon knocked.

Stevie quickly snorted the white powder off her mirror, finishing the last line and then answering "Who is it?" She sniffled, getting up and throwing the fifty dollar bill onto the bed.

"It's Christine, who do you think it is?" Laughed Christine, which made Stevie feel like an idiot.

Stevie's heart instantly warmed and she felt excited to see Christine, she hurried to the wall mirror, quickly wiping off the smudged makeup and remaining cocaine, also neatening up her messy curls. She then went and flung the door open "Hey!" She beamed

Christine took in her beauty without being obvious, she was wearing a clingy black dress and looked so sexy, Christine couldn't tear her eyes away and felt stupid and dazed. Stevie also checked out Christine, who was dressed in jeans and an oversized blue and white hippy style shirt. Stevie thought she looked amazing as well and wanted to kiss her, then she giggled awkwardly realising they were both staring in an awkward silence "Sorry, Chris, I'm a little stoned!" Stevie quickly began walking over to her bed "Come in! I should have know it was you, sometimes I still think we are touring!" !"

"I'm a little drunk so its fine, sometimes it gets confusing!" laughed Christine following Stevie in. "I bought some bubbles!" she said holding the bottle up and grinning.
"Lovely!" Stevie smiled as she quickly glided over to the table in the corner and grabbed two glasses, twirling around and returning beside Christine.

"Someone's eager!" chuckled Christine, annoyed with herself for admiring Stevie's figure as the fabric clung to her.

Stevie giggled, she wanted a few drinks, she wanted to somehow suss out if Christine was ever interested in women and she needed the extra nudge from the liquor and drugs to do it, every day and night, she thought and obsessed over Christine a little bit more "Come on the bed!" Stevie ushered walking over with two full glasses.

"What?" Christine asked shocked taking the glass from Stevie.

"Come sit on the bed, its comfier!" Stevie smiled, then feeling stupid for her choice of words, she kind of liked saying something that could be taken sexually too though, to see Christine's reaction, to try and read her.

"Oh, sure!" Christine smiled and followed the twirling gypsy onto the bed, quickly sipping the champagne.

"So I heard you listening to your record, are you alright?" Stevie asked, gently resting her hand on Christine's hand.

Christine felt sparks fly up her arm, like the first time they had shook hands at the Mexican restaurant "I'm, I'm alright!" Christine smiled, quickly swigging her glassful again/

Stevie watched as Christine seemed flighty and edgy "Has something happened?"

"No, not at all honey!" Christine smiled.

Stevie now felt nervous herself, pulling her hand away and worried she had annoyed Christine. Stevie reached over to the night stand and grabbed a joint, lighting it and beginning to puff away on it "Give me a toke!" laughed Christine knocking back more champagne quickly, she wanted to find the strength to try and tell Stevie the way she felt, but she was terrified of wrecking their friendship, if she fucked things up, she couldn't live with herself, her mind wandered back to the first song she had written about Stevie, it was after a night out with Stevie, they had both gotten completely  drunk and Stevie had said she loved her, Christine had wondered if Stevie had meant it as a friend or something more and had sat up writing a song, she had played it all night, over and over, because she had nothing to record it with, until the next day.

For you, there'll be no more crying.
For you, the sun will be shining.
And I feel that when I'm with you,
It's alright, I know it's right.

To you, I'll give the world.

To you, I'll never be cold.

'Cause I feel that when I'm with you,
It's alright, I know it's right.

And the songbirds are singing, like they know the score.
And I love you, I love you, I love you, like never before.

And I wish you all the love in the world.
But most of all, I wish it from myself.

And the songbirds keep singing, like they know the score
And I love you, I love you, I love you
Like never before, like never before, like never before.

Stevie broke her thoughts as she placed the joint against Christine's lips, Christine grinned and took it between her lips. Stevie smiled as she lowered her hand watching as Christine began smoking it, looking super sexy as the smoke wafted around her, she loved watching Christine smoke.   Stevie sipped her glass, avoiding Christine's sultry gaze, her ice blue eyes were like she was either high or stressing as she glanced at Stevie, sending excited shivers up Stevie's spine.

Christine couldn't keep her eyes of Stevie and she was pissing herself off, she downed the rest of the glass and began puffing more on the joint to calm the overpowering love and lust that was drowning her.

"Chris I know somethings up, can you tell me, I hate it when your stressing over something. Has John done something?" Stevie asked, sensing Christine's mood, she was always good at sensing people's emotions.

Christine gulped the drink and tried to think of an excuse, not the truth, that she was getting drunker by the second and wanted her best friend, that was sitting beside her "I just need a few drinks!" Christine said firmly.

Stevie smiled and nodded "I know what you mean, I had a bit of a breakdown earlier,"

"Oh honey, why?" Christine wanted to know what Stevie was hurting over and hated seeing her sad "Tell me who did, I will go punch them in the head!"

Stevie laughed "No one has done anything today or very recently, so no one head needs to be punched, thanks for that though!" Stevie smiled.

"What's wrong then Steph?" Christine asked with concern.
