Dan's Pov.................

TIME SKIP.... (I've never actually done one in this book yet and I'm going to limit the amount I use them because I know people get really annoyed with them)

I'm currently standing in the hallway waiting for Phil to come back and get me. Ever since I woke up I felt even better than before, with Phil at my side and the speedy recovery thanks to the multiple doctors, I'm homebound.

After the news of my mother's death I was pulled into an emergency surgery that night because my brain was supposedly swelling. The doctor that came to comfort me when I was "crying" joked how I was so upset my head couldn't handle it. Phil had found out days later and kept apologizing to me, although I didn't want his pity he continued trying to make me happy and kept me distracted as I lay in the hospital bed. If I was completely honest, I didn't miss my mother that much, and though she tried her absolute hardest to raise me, I was shocked she didn't send me to an orphanage sooner or later.

"You ready to get out of this place?" Phil asks as he approached me.

"I've got all your papers", he lifts them up to show me, "so your officially released"

"I'm as ready as I'll ever be" I mumble mostly to myself, but Phil must of heard me because when I looked up and he was smiling.

The thought of being able to finally sleep in my own bed made me euphoric compared to sleeping on a brick every night.

We exit the building and Phil's parents car was sitting in the parking lot.

"Oh yea, I forgot to tell you they came to pick us up", he answers my unspoken question.

"Ok", I say as I follow Phil to the car.

"Hello boys!" Phil's mother says as we climb in beside each other.

"HI MOM!" Phil yells back.

"There's really no need to yell mom, were literally sitting right behind you", he states.

"Yes I know but I'm so excited to see you because since Dan's been in there you never left", she responds.

I look over to Phil to see him staring right back at me, and blushing.

"You haven't left?" I ask him.

"Nope" he says while popping the P.

"Well did you even eat or sleep?" I ask.

"I mean yea, I ate the food you refused to eat while you were high on anesthesia, and it was pretty funny to say the least. And I had lots of time to sleep while you were in a coma so don't worry."

"I wasn't worrying", I say.

"And what did I say?"

Phil looked towards the front and past the dashboard to the highway.

"That, my friend, is information I'm not going to tell. But just know It was one of the funniest things i've ever seen from such an 'innocent' person like yourself"

"Oh god", I say as Phil laughs.

We arrive at Phil's house as he practically drags me from the car and up the front steps into the house.

"Hey, hey, you gotta remember I just left the hospital for god's sake", he turns to me and we both start laughing as he continues to his room with me tagging along behind. When he pulls me into the room he leads me to sit on the bed and goes to close the door.

"So what do you wanna do?" he asks me while he walks over to his desk in the corner of  the room and sits in his office chair, as he pulls it around and rolls to where I'm sitting.
