"Tyler," Josh whispers.
The ball under the sheets doesn't budge.
"Tyler," he says a bit louder, slightly nudging the brunette.
Tyler turns his head toward the voice, "Hm?"
"Tyler," Josh chuckles.
Tyler opens his eyes and looks up at the older boy. He gasps remembering the previous night's events as he sits up, "What's wrong? Are you okay?"
"I'm fine, sweetheart. I was just wondering if you wanted to go out for breakfast."
"But you're hurt."
"Doesn't mean I'm not hungry."
"No, I meant-you know what I meant."
"I know," Josh sighs, grabbing Tyler's hand softly. "I'm okay though. I wanna take my boyfriend out. I feel bad."
"About what?"
"Because I was supposed to come over when you got out of work last night and I ended up coming over almost two hours later with blood gushing out of my head."
"I don't care. I'm just glad you're okay. I just figured you got to playing beer pong or something or else I would've gone looking for you."
"I actually did. Chris, Jack, and Rian were playing, Rian needed a partner. I thought that if I drank only for that round, I'd be sober by the time I came over but I ended up losing so I drank more than I expected. I'm sorry, Ty-"
"Don't apologize, Josh. I don't care about you drinking. I'm just happy you're not dead."
Josh chuckles, "No, I'm not."
Tyler presses a soft light kiss to Josh's bruised knuckles, "I love you, Joshie."
"I love you, darling."
Tyler blushes at the new name.
Josh smiles, "How about breakfast?"
"Let's clean you up first."
-
Josh sits on the closed toilet seat lid with Tyler in between his legs. Tyler gently cleans Josh's face and hands before kissing his forehead.
"I have clothes here for you, so you can change into those."
"Okay. Then we'll go get pancakes?"
"Yes," Tyler giggles.
"Yay," the man grins softly, squeezing the brunette's thighs before kissing his lips.
-
Josh watches fondly as Tyler cuts up his chocolate chip pancakes. He passes the syrup to the small male and watches in amazement how much sugar the boy could handle in one bite of pancake.
Tyler puts down the syrup container, blushing as he catches Josh staring. "Why are you staring at me?"
"You're so adorable."
"I'm stuffing my face with these."
"Adorably."
Tyler giggles and bites the pancake off his fork, "Mmm."
Josh grins. Tyler reaches for his orange juice and takes a big drink, his mouth still full of pancake.
"Slow down," Josh sternly but quietly. "You're gonna choke."
Tyler swallows his food and drink mixture and sets his cup down. "I sorry," he says quietly.
"You getting little on me?"
"No. I'm a big boy."
"You're my big boy."
Tyler giggles, his cheeks tinting pink, "I'm your big boy."
"Yeah, you're my big boy," Josh chuckles.
Tyler takes another bite of his breakfast and looks at his daddy's plate. "Are you gonna eat that?" he asks, reaching over to point to the bacon on Josh's plate. He gasps as his hand bumps his cup of orange juice and sends it falling onto the table.
Quickly, Josh picks up the cup and sets it right side up before placing napkins over the spilt liquid.
"I sorry!" Tyler cries.
"No, no, no, it's okay," Josh assures standing up to get away from the dripping juice.
Tears fall down Tyler's cheeks as Josh asks a waiter for a wash rag. Tyler feels hands under his armpits and he's lifted into Josh's arms.
"Tyler, hey," Josh says softly walking outside. He bounces the small boy in his arms slightly despite the pain shooting through his sore body. His baby's well-being is more important to him at the moment.
Tyler cries into Josh's neck, "I didn't mean to."
"I know you didn't, honey. It's okay. Accidents happen, right?"
Tyler nods.
"Exactly. No more tears. It's okay."
Tyler pulls away and sniffles.
Josh smiles, "There's my big boy."
The restaurant door opens and a waiter looks out, "Sir, you're gonna have to pay before leaving."
"Oh, right. Sorry," Josh says.
The waiter just nods with a disgusted look before going back inside.
"What crawled up his butt?" Tyler mumbles.
"Hey," Josh puts a warning finger to Tyler's chest trying not to laugh as he was thinking the same thing, "we don't talk like that."
"You're laughing," Tyler giggles.
"No, I'm not," Josh replies, setting Tyler on his feet and grabbing his hand. "Let's go pay."
"You're laughing!" Tyler laughs louder.
"I have no idea what you're talking about."
"Daddy," Tyler giggles.
"No idea."
Tyler continues to giggle even after they've paid and left the restaurant parking lot.
