Chapter 35

Zach's POV:

It was almost 10 pm, when Blair and I arrived at home.
,,you wanna stay over at my house tonight?'' She asked me.
,,mhmm I don't know, I don't wann leave them alone.'' I said and she understood. I walked her over to her house. I wanted to go but my mom and May were inside of their house, so I also went inside.
,,Hey stay over here tonight, my husband also isn't here, he's on a business trip.'' Blair's mom said.
,,I don't wanna make any circumstances'' my mom said.
,,Oh please no no you won't make any circumstances. You and May can sleep in my bed and Zach and Blair in her bedroom'' her mom said.
,,and were do you sleep?'' May asked.
,,I'm gonna sleep on the couch or on the mattress.'' Blair's mom said.
,,Well alright, but I feel like I'll push you out of your bed'' my mom said.
,,Ugh no way I told you to stay and I'll be still in the room on a mattress.'' Blair's mom said and we all laughed.
It was time to go to bed, me and Blair said our goodnights to them and laid down in her bed. She covered us in the blanket and pressed her body against mine, cuddling into my arms.
,,Good night babe'' she said and looked up to me. I kissed her:,, I love you''
,,I love you too'' she said and rested her head on my chest again, running her finger up and down my biceps.

Blair's POV:

It was past midnight, when I woke up feeling thirsty. Zach was in a deep sleep and didn't even recognize me standing up. I walked down the stairs and heard a sobbing from the kitchen.
,,Mrs. Dempsey are you okay?'' I looked at her and touched her shoulder. She couldn't answer me and I just took her into a hug letting her cry.
,,It's ok'' I said when she looked at me like she wanted to apologize.
,,I feel like I did him wrong Blair and that I'm the reason he died.'' she said and left me in shock, no one should ever think that.
,,It's not your fault and it'll never be, you're human and humans make mistakes.'' I said and she smiled weak.
,,Does he hate me? I mean Zach, does he? She asked me.
,,No no no he loves you more than anything, what makes you think that? You and May are his everything.'' I said convincingly.
,,I feel like he hates me because I never talk about it'' she said sad.
,,But it's ok, to at first not talk about it, it's a hard time for everyone and it's hard. Maybe I mean if you're ready you should tell him the truth, he just wants some answers.'' I adviced her and she nodded.
,,Thank you so much Blair, for everything. But... but....how..ehh do I tell my kids about there father being defeated by cancer?'' she asked me sobbing at the end of the sentence again.
,,What, omg I didn't knew he...— I just couldn't finish my sentence, because I was in shock, not also that I didn't know but Zach actually didn't too.
,,Listen Blair, my husband left some letters. One for me, one for May, one for Zach and..... one for you.'' She said and I looked shocked
,,For me? But why for me?'' I asked.
,,I don't know, if it's okay I'm gonna give it to you tomorrow.'' She said and hugged me
,,Thank you again Blair, good night'' she said hugging me once again.
,,Your welcome. And Mrs. Dempsey, I mean it. No matter what I'm always here for you.'' I said hugging her back. I took a water bottle out of the fridge and went back to bed, that's what Zach's mom also did.
I laid down next to Zach and kissed his forehead, he smiled a little and snuggled up to me.
