From ‚hate you' to ,love you'

Chapter 39

Zach's POV:

It was almost midnight. Mom and I talked things out.
,,Goodnight I love you mom'' I said kissing my moms forehead and going into my bedroom, closing the door behind me. I was about to go to bed, when I heard May from across the hall:,,mom can I sleep in your bed, I'm scared'' she said. I went to my moms room and made sure May is ok.
,,you wanna sleep with us'' May asked me as my mom and her were cuddling.
,,of course'' I said jumping onto the bed, tickling May and making both laugh.
I laid down between them and they both hugged me. That's how we fell asleep and slept the whole night.

Blair's POV:

It was past midnight, but I just couldn't sleep. I looked out of the window and went outside on the balcony to get some fresh air. I stood there for awhile and decided to open the letter from Zach's dad.

Blair, I know you might be confused why I write to you, but I'm sure Karen might have told you already. I wanna be honest with you, I had cancer stage 5 and there was nothing anyone could've done about it. That's the reason why we, me and your parents, talked things out. What happened, happened and we can't change that, but we can try to make it better. I gave everyone a second chance and you should do that too. Not only with your family, but also with Zach. I see the way you look at him and how he does look at you. You guys are made for each other, please don't throw that away for a mistake you both haven't done. I wanna see my son happy from above and I think the only way to see him happy, is to see him being yours.  I know you guys will have more than just a ,,relationship'' and I know that this love will last forever. You're the woman he needs besides him. Please take care of him, reach out to him and never let him down. Do all the things I can't do anymore. I owe you a lot Blair, cause I know one day you'll make me a grandfather, even though I'm not there anymore. You'll make my whole family, especially my son very happy, I can see it. I'll hope you decide right.

I was just speechless and felt tears streaming down my face. I felt horrible, not only for always being mean to my parents and Zach, but also for not telling Zach the truth. When he cried and I acted as if I didn't knew his father died because of cancer. I just felt horrible and the only thing I wanted right now, is to apologize to Zach and tell him that I knew. I texted him but he didn't reply, so I waited until tomorrow.

Zach's POV:

I woke up to a sleeping May next to me. I looked out for mom, but she was no where to find. I walked down the stairs and into the kitchen, Blair and my mom were talking and stopped when they saw me.
I put a confused look on my face and raced an eyebrow.
,,what's going on?'' I asked.
,,I'll let the two of you alone'' mom said while walking out of the kitchen.
Blair turned around:,, hey'' she said giving me a kiss on my cheek.
,,What's wrong?'' I asked her confused
She took a deep breath:,,There's something you need to know''
