Estelwen (Alastegiel) POV
"Servant Alastegiel" King Thranduil called. I immediately went into the throne room where King Thranduil was sitting on his throne with his son, Prince Legolas, sitting next to him.
"Yes, King Thranduil?" I answered bowing down to him.
"You can have the rest of the day to yourself, you could go for a ride if you want to. I wish you would call me Ada (dad)." He said to me then smiled.
I returned the smile and said, "Thanks my King." Then I bowed and left the room. He's not really my Ada, but he thinks of me as a daughter.
I went and got my horse Whitefox. She was one of the Mearas. She was a pure white horse, and she has been my friend almost my whole life.
I was special, I could communicate with animals. I was always nice to them and would help them. We became a team, me and the animals. We would go around helping others. Also persuading bad guys to come to the good side, such as evil men and orcs.
Also, something that only two other people knew, I am Galadriel, The Lady of Light's daughter. I am Estelwen (My real name), The Lady of Hope and Healing.
I was taken from her when I was young. After a few weeks of me being tortured, Gandalf Stormcrow the Grey Wizard killed the guy who took me. And he raised me up as his own.
When I was 10, I decided to live out on my own. That was when I found out I could communicate with animals. For a few hundred years I stayed with the animals and helped them and people. Everyone, including the animals would bow to me and call me 'Queen of the Animals.' Every time I told them they did not have to do that, but they still did.
I remember the first time I saw Legolas. He is about the same age as me, just 4 months older than me. Some days I would hear someone screaming, and try to find them but whenever I got close the screaming stopped. I knew for a fact that someone was being abused.
Finally, 3 months later, I got there in time to see who it was. There was a young elf with long blonde hair, being abused by another elf with long brown hair and dull green eyes. The elf with the brown hair then hit the little elf in the head very hard, knocking the young elf out.
Immediately I ran over kicked the brown-haired elf in the head, knocking him out. I picked up the young blonde-haired elf and put him on my horse. I took him far away from there.
After I knew I was far enough away from there, I laid him down and healed his wound and wrapped it with a bandage, I knew he was going to be ok and heal quickly. But because of the force of the punch, he was going to be blind for 3-5 days. I got him back on my horse then rode to the Woodland-realm. I knew he was from there because of his blonde hair.
When I finally got there, I found out his name was Legolas and that he was the kings son. King Thranduil was getting very worried. I told him every thing that had happened. He told me thank you and asked me how I knew how to heal him and what my name was.
I told him my name was Alastegiel, and that I was from the town that burned down a few months ago and that I was the best healer there, and the only one that survived. Of course what I told him was a lie. I could not tell him who I really was, at least not yet anyways.
King Thranduil asked me to stay until his son could see again and was fully healed. And I of course accepted, because I knew I could not say no to the king and also I wanted to make sure Legolas was ok myself. When Legolas woke up he stared to freak out because he could not see so I sang him a song to help calm him down.
Deep in the meadow, under the willow. A bed of grass, a soft green pillow. Lay down your head and close your eyes, when they open the sun will rise. Here it's safe and here it's warm, and here the daisies guard you from every harm. Here your dreams are sweet and tomorrow brings them true. Here is the place where I love you. Deep in the meadow, hidden far away. A cloak of leaves, a moonbeam ray. Forget your woes and let your troubles lay. And when again it's morning, they'll wash away. Here it's safe, and here it's warm, and here the daisies guard you from every harm. Here your dreams are sweet, and tomorrow brings them true. Here is the place where I love you.
After I sang that, he fell asleep. I sang it to him for 4 nights until he got his sight back. But I did not want him to know that I had saved him. King Thranduil liked me so much he asked me to stay and be his servant, I agreed it would give me a place to call home.
When I saw Legolas for the first time on his smaller throne next to his Ada's, I noticed he had beautiful blue eyes. But I saw sadness and hurt in them. I could tell he thought nobody loved him, and that he was just a mistake.
After being King Thranduil servant for a few years, I started to understand why Legolas felt that way. His Ada rarely ever talked to him and when he did, King Thranduil was always mean to Legolas and yelling at him.
Also King Thranduil started treating me like I was his daughter. He told me he loved me and said I was the best child an elf could have. I felt so bad for Legolas, and for years I have been trying to find a way to help him feel loved.
I can't believe all the memories going through my head on my ride just now. I just wish there was something I could do for Legolas, I could tell he was very slowly starting to fade because he feels no one cares. I knew right then I had to do something.
As I was on my ride, I slowed my horse down to a trot. After a while, I called my little bird friend, Rose, and asked if there was any one who needed help. Before she could answer, I heard a familiar scream.

Hope you guys like this! Please comment and tell me what you think and if I should keep writing it. I know I put the song from the Hunger Games. I do not know many lullabies and I thought it suited the situation. Hope you enjoy my book. :) Picture of Estelwen on side. I think that Anna-Sophia Robb suits Estelwen perfectly.
