Legolas POV

“What did you do? You went and almost got yourself killed! That's what you did. How could you be so careless as to hit your head!" I kept shouting at her.

“Legolas, there's no need to shout. Anyway the reason I hit my head is becau-" Alastegiel tries to say. I don't get how she can be so calm.

“No, I don't want to hear any excuses." I say, cutting her off.

“Why do you care anyway?" She asks me.

Why do I care? I am not sure myself. “Maybe because if you got killed, my dad would kill me."

“But I-" She tries again.

“No, don't talk to me." After I said this, I turned around and galloped off.

Estelwen (Alastegiel) POV

“No, don't talk to me." He half-shouted at me. Then he galloped off with his horse.

I fell to my knees and let the tears fall down my face. Why did he say that to me? Ever since we left Rivendell, he has been acting differently.

I then feel a presence in front of me. I look up to see Aragorn. He walks up and kneels down in front of me. “What's going on?" He asks me.

“Legolas is mad at me for what happened on the Pass of the Cahadras. When I hit my head and almost killed myself." I tell Aragorn, more tears falling down my face.

Aragorn POV

I put a hand on Alastegiel's shoulder. Legolas is normally not like this, I saw the Whole thing. I have never heard him shout before. Normally he is quiet and kind, this is so unlike him “How did you hit your head?" I ask her making sure to be gentle.

She sighs before she answers, “When the avalanche of snow fell on us, Legolas was near the edge trying to keep everyone back. The snow pushed him and he almost fell off the mountain. I grabbed him, and had to use all the force I could to pull him back. That much force made me hit my head on something and I blacked out."

“I should go tell him." I say to her.

“Please don't. I want  to be able to tell him myself." She says looking down to the floor.

“Ok, I won't tell him. Let's head back now. Sound good?" I ask her.

“Sure, you can ride on my horse with me." She says while standing up. She then gives me a hug and says, “Thanks so much mellon."

“No problem." And with that we head off.

When we get back Alastegiel gives the stable boy the horse. We head back to where the Fellowship is.

“I am going to try to get some sleep now. I will see you tomorrow, Aragorn." Alastegiel whispers to me, so she won't wake anyone up.

“See you tomorrow." I whisper back.

When I get back to where I was resting, I look at Legolas. I so badly want to tell him, but I told Alastegiel I wouldn't. Guess I better try to get some rest.
