Chapter 5: The Secret Counsel

Here's another chapter just cause I am nice! :) I made sure to make it long. Hope you enjoy it.

Estelwen (Alastegiel) POV

When I woke up there was a knock on my door. I opened it to find out it was Arwen.

“Good morning Arwen." I said happy to see her, “What do you need?"

“I am here to help you get ready for the secret counsel. Lord Elrond has requested your presence." Arwen said while holding up the dress she had in her hands.

“Thanks Arwen." I said thankful she was going to be helping me. I can't believe that Lord Elrond wants me to come to the Secret Counsel.

While Arwen was helping me get ready, I was thinking what the counsel is going to be about. Although I have a pretty good idea. I think it has to do about the one ring and Saron's return.

“There, I think that's good." She said leading me to a mirror. Arwen did my hair too. I was so grateful. I am wearing a light blue dress with green outlines. My long, blonde hair is in a French braid. My favorite thing about myself though, is my ocean blue eyes.

“You look beautiful, and a lot like your Naneth." Arwen said.

“Thanks, Arwen." I said turning to her.

“It was no problem, ready to go? I'll walk you there."

“Lead the way."

When we got to the counsel, Arwen said bye to me then I walked in. I looked around the room and saw some one I have not seen for a very long time.

“Gandalf!" I said while walking over to him then giving him a hug. Then I whispered in his ear, “Call me Alastegiel." I could tell he understood right away

“Alastegiel, it is so good to see you again. " Gandalf said. He looked very happy to see me.

“It's good to see you again to Gandalf, it has been a long time since I last saw you."

“Yes it has. We will have to talk later it looks like Lord Elrond wants to talk to you."

“Sounds good, talk to you later Gandalf." I said while turning to walk to Lord Elrond.

“Alastegiel, it is so good to see you again!" Lord Elrond said when I walked over to him.

“It is good to see you again too, Lord Elrond." I said bowing to him.

“I would like to talk to you later, meet me in my study after the counsel." Lord Elrond whispered to me. I nodded. “Have a seat, Alastegiel, the counsel is about to start." I turned around, there was an open seat next to Gandalf, so I decided to sit by him.

“Strangers from distant lands, friends of old. You have been summoned here to answer the threat of Mordor. Middle Earth stands upon the brink of destruction. None can escape it. You will unite or you will fall. Each race is bound to this fate, this one doom." Lord Elrond then looks around the room and looks at a hobbit. “Bring forth the ring, Frodo."

Frodo walks to the stone circle in the Middle of the room, and carefully sets the ring on it.

“So it's true." A man sitting on the other side of the room says.

Frodo sits back down, sighs then closes his eyes. The man who just spoke stood up.

“In a dream, I saw the eastern sky go dark." he starts to walk towards the ring, “In the West a pale light lingered. A voice was crying, your doom is near at hand." He keeps walking towards the ring, I was starting to get nervous about what was going to happen. “Isildur's bane is found." He starts to stretch his hand out to the ring, “Isildur's bane."
