Chapter 16: Goodbye

Estelwen (Alastegiel) POV

After a few minutes of searching for Frodo, I start to hear small footsteps. I know that it is him.

“Aragorn, Frodo is over there." I say to Aragorn, pointing to where I hear him.

We walk up to Frodo and he looks really scared. “Frodo?" Aragorn says.

Frodo gasps and turns around to face us. He the tells us, “It has taken Boromir."

“Where is the ring?" Aragorn asks Frodo.

I can feel the ring trying to tempt me again, but I quickly think of Legolas and it goes away.

“Stay away!" Frodo shouts and tries to run away.

“Frodo!" I say as gently as I can. He stops running and turns to look at us.

“I swore to protect you." Aragorn says and I nod my head.

“Can you guys protect me from yourselves?" Frodo asks us, and holds the ring out in his hand. Aragorn stares at it. “Would you destroy it?" Aragorn starts to walk closer to Frodo.

Then he kneels down and closes Frodo's hand. “I would of gone with you to the end. In to the very fires of Mordor."

“I would if too." I say realizing that Frodo is now going off on his own.

“I know." he says to us. Aragorn stands up, and I move to stand beside Aragorn. “Look after the others, especially Sam. He will not understand."

I kneel down and give Frodo a big hug, “Stay safe Frodo, and remember to always have hope. Goodbye." I say backing out of the hug and give him a smile.

“Thank you for being so kind to me, Alastegiel. Stay safe yourself." He says to me as I stand up.

I look down to see his sword glowing blue, “Go Frodo!" I say to him urgently. Aragorn pulls out his sword and I pull out my bow. Frodo takes out his sword.

“Run!" Aragorn shouts to Frodo. He runs off and I get in top of the big rock we are standing by and notch an arrow on my bow. Aragorn starts to charge towards them, the Uruk-hai.
