Estelwen (Alastegiel) POV
5 days later...
We were all standing by the place where we are going to leave Rivendell. It is now time to go. We, the Fellowship, are saying our goodbyes.
Lord Elrond begins to speak, "The ring bearer is setting off on the quest of Mount Doom and you who travel with him, no oath nor bond is laid to go further than you will. Farewell. Hold to your purpose and may the blessings of the elves," he looks to Legolas and me. "and men," he looks at Aragorn and Boromir. "and all free folk," he looks at Gimli. "go with you."
"The Fellowship awaits the ring bearer." Gandalf says looking to Frodo. We all then leave Rivendell.

"We must hold this course West of the Misty Mountains for forty days. If our luck holds the Gap of Rohan will still be open to us, and there our road turns east to Mordor." Gandalf says.
Boromir is teaching Merry and Pippin how to fight. While Aragorn is sitting smoking a pipe and correcting the hobbits mistakes, also giving them tips. Legolas is keeping watch and everyone else is just sitting around.
"If anyone was to ask for my opinion, which I note that they're not, I'd say we were taking the long way round. Gandalf, we could pass through the Mines of Moria. My cousin Balin would give us a royal welcome." Gimli pleads to Gandalf.
"No Gimli, I would not take the road through Moria unless I had no other choice." Gandalf replys while looking off info the distance.
I start to stare at a weird looking cloud in the distance, something is not right about it.
I then hear Sam say, "What is that?" I noticed he was pointing at the weird cloud.
"Nothing, it's just a whisp of cloud." Gimli says obviously not caring.
"It's moving fast... against the wind." Boromir states.
I then know exactly what it is, but Legolas yells it first. "Crebain! From Duneland."
"Hide!" Shouts Aragorn.
Boromir yells for everyone to hurry and Aragorn tells Frodo to tale cover. I hide under a bush waiting for the birds to pass. When thy are gone, we all come out of our hiding places.
"Spies of Saruman." Gandalf says bitterly, "The passage south is being watched. We must take the pass of the Cahadras."
***
Soon we make it to the pass of the Cahadras. I hear a tumbling noise and turn around. Frodo had fell and was rolling down the mountain.
"Frodo!" Aragorn called then caught Frodo and picked him up. Frodo dusted himself off then felt around his neck for the ring.
I look over and I notice that Boromir is picking up the ring. Oh no, I hope he doesn't do any thing.
"Boromir!" Aragorn calls. Everyone is looking at Boromir with concern.
Boromir looks like he is in a trance, staring at the ring. He starts to speak, "It is a strange fate that we should suffer so much fear and doubt over so small a thing," I put my Hand to the hilt of one of my long daggers. I am standing somewhat in between Boromir and Frodo. "such a little thing." Boromir then reaches his hand out to touch the ring.
"Boromir!" Aragorn shouts urgently. Boromir seems to be snapped out of his trance. "Give the ring to Frodo."
Boromir looks embarrassed and walks over to Frodo and holds out the ring. Frodo snatches it from him. Boromir says, "As you wish, I care not." To prove his point, he laughs then ruffles Frodo's hair. I release my grip from my long dagger as Boromir walks away.
As we keep walking, a blizzard starts and the snow is getting deeper. It is too deep for the Hobbits so Aragorn and Boromir carry them. Aragorn has Frodo and Sam, and Boromir has Merry and Pippin.
All of the sudden I hear someone talking. "Cuiva nwalca Carnirasse; nai yarvaxea rasselya! (Wake up cruel Redhorn; May your horn be bloodstained!)"
"There's a fell voice in the air." says Legolas.
"It's Saruman!" Gandalf yells.
Rocks are starting to fall down over head. "He's trying to bring down the mountain! Gandalf, we must turn back!" Aragorn says to Gandalf. I am personally hoping we will, I do not want to be squished by rocks.
Gandalf says, "No!" Then he steps out to the edge of the path and starts to shout, "Losto Cahadras, sedho, hodo, nuitho i 'ruith! (Sleep Cahadras, be still, lie still, hold your wrath!)"
Saruman shouts back, "Cuiva nwalca Carnirasse; nai yarvaxea rasselya taltuva notta-carinnar! (Wake up cruel Redhorn; may your bloodstained horn fall upon enemy heads!)"
I heard a big boom and looked up to see a avalanche of snow falling down on us. When it fell, I noticed Legolas was about to fall off. So I grabbed his arm and pulled him back. I had to use so much force that I hit my head on something. My last thought was if Legolas was ok. That's when everything went black.

Ooh, what's gonna happen? I think I am going to do more of Legolas POV. What do you think?
