Promises (A LOTR/Legolas Love Story) *Completed*

Chapter 14: That Can't be Me

Aragorn POV

I could not believe it. I did not know Lady Galadriel had a daughter. “Please, don't tell anyone else. You are the only person I trust." She begged me. “And keep calling me Alastegiel."

I knew she was serious. “Don't worry I won't tell anyone, Alastegiel. Is it only me and Gandalf who knows?"

“No, Arwen also knows. When we were in Rivendell, Lord Elrond remembered me. And here in Lothlórien, Haldir remembers me. Haldir and I were best friends when we were little. Some people's memories are starting to come back. But Gandalf had told me it will still be a while until Lady Galadriel remembers."

“Ok, thanks for letting me know. You seem exhausted, let's get back. You should really get some rest." I say standing up and holding out my hand for her.

After I help her stand up, we head back. She seems to go right to sleep. I head over to my spot, and I let sleep overcome me.

Estelwen (Alastegiel) POV

When I wake up, I see Lady Galadriel in front of me “Follow me." As she says this, she turns around and starts walking. I get up and follow her. We go up some steps and come to a big circle thing in the middle of the room.

“Will you look into the Mirror?" She asks me.

I nod my head and walk over to it.

At first I see nothing. But the I see my self, walking over to Frodo. Everyone is asleep. I kill Frodo and take the Ring. I take the ring to Saron, then go to war. I then kill each of the Fellowship one by one, til they're all dead. Then I laugh evily.

I am blown back and land on the ground. I look up to Lady Galadriel and say, “That Can't be me."

“That is what will happen if you give in to the temptation of the Ring. If you resist it, then all you have seen shall not come to pass." When she says this, I can't help but sigh in relief. All I have to do is resist the temptation. “You may go now, and get some more rest. I can tell you need it."

“Thanks." I say and bow to her. Then I go back to where the Fellowship is and get more rest.

A few hours later I am awoken again. This time it is Haldir. “I want to talk to you, you and the Fellowship are going to be leaving soon." There is urgency in his voice. I nod my head. “I know where we can talk." He says taking my hand.

Haldir leads me to a small garden. He turns around, looks me in the eye and says, “Please promise me you won't die, I would not be able to live with myself if you did."

I know I can't promise him that. But I will anyway knowing that I probably will break this promise. “I promise." I say with sincerity in my voice.

“Thank you." He says giving me a hug. Then he seems to be thinking and says, “I love you." Then he does the unexpected. He quickly kisses me on the lips and walks away. Leaving me standing there, shocked.

My dad is busy with something so I decided to write another chapter. What do you think Estelwen (Alastegiel) thinks about the kiss? I will try to update again today if I can.
