Legolas- Green Leaf (I was so shocked to find out that's what his name means I thought it was his last name)

Thranduil- Vigorous Spring

Tauriel- Forest Maiden

Arwen- Nobel Maiden

Elrond- Star Dome (Did you know that Lord Elrond is half-elven?!?!?!?)

Galadriel- Maiden crowned by a radiant garland (Lord Celeborn gave Galadriel her name)

Celeborn- Tall Silver Tree

Gandalf- Wand Elf (He is not elf though, it said on the internet the rule does not apply???)

Frodo- Wise by Experience

Samwise- Half Wise

Meriadoc(Merry)- Great One

Peregrin(Pippin)- Traveler in Strange Countries

Aragorn- Revered King (How ironic are some of these name meanings)

Gimli- Fire

Boromir- Faithful Jewel

Faramir- Sufficient Jewel

Denethor- King of Righteousness

Théoden- Ruler/Leader

Théodred- Counsel of People

Eowyn- Horse Friend

Eomer- Horse-Famous

Ent- Giant

Hobbit- Hole Builder

Bilbo- A Sword

Sméagol- Sneaking

Radagast- Tender of Beasts
