Chapter One: Noticing Leon Colton

Vivanna twisted and turned on her bed, her blanket thrown off the edge of her bed and the bed sheets were rumpled. "No!" she moaned as her brow furrowed. Her eyes were closed tightly but that didn't seem to hold back the tears that trickled down her cheeks. "Please! No!" she moaned once more. Sweat beads had formed on her upper lips and forehead. She whimpered before suddenly jerking awake.

"What...?" she mumbled as she took in her surroundings with her wide, dark, black rimmed, melted , milky chocolate brown eyes that were framed with thick and long black eyelashes. She ran her hand through her long, thick, dark ash brown, wavy hair that fell till her waist and was now knotted together. Her skin tone was a light brown and her tall, slim frame now trembled as the events of her nightmare replayed in her head. She blinked back tears and took long, calming breaths.

"It was just a dream, calm down." a small voice spoke in her head and she immediately agreed to it and felt her heart rate return to it's normal rate.

Ever since that one faithful day she had been plagued by those silly nightmares that refused to leave and continued to replay in her dreams.

Vivanna stretched and swung her legs off the bed and felt her feet sink into the soft, plush carpeted floor . She walked to the window and pushed open the translucent curtains in order to gaze at the ebony black sky above her. The silver crescent moon hung low in the sky, indicating that day was on it's way. Wands of silver light filled Vivanna's dark room with a faint silver glow, illuminating the objects in her room.

Vivanna rocked back and forth on the heels of her feet as she attempted to divert her thoughts from the nightmare. She sighed in defeat and pulled out a diary from the cabinet at the side of her bed.

Dear Emerson,

They're back. The nightmares that have consumed my dreams have once again made an unwanted appearance. I don't know what to do. And the worst part is that today is the last exam of finals- mathematics.

You remember all those times when Uncle S-I mean Sebastian had to drag all of us to our 'world renown' tutors?

What really gets infuriating is the fact that I have already learned everything that is being taught to me and yet I have to pretend like I don't know them at all or like I didn't understand the question and so I got it wrong.

Can't risk getting on the honor roll and getting my name 'out there' can I?

As for now I shall not attempt to return to the realms of slumber as my dreams shall surely be plagued by terrifying memories of the nightmare that I have been witnessing for quite a while now.

Plus that whole act thing that Blake and I had undertaken? Well, so far it's being going quite well but is very fatigue fulled. I mean seriously, acting like a naive, youthful girl who is so unaware about the world isn't as easy as it sounds.

Thank's for listening Em!

Lots of love,

Vivianna.

Vivanna closed her diary and buried it back into one of the shelves of the bedside cabinet. She ran down to the kitchen and made a cup of hot chocolate for herself and began to sip on it as she watched the moon dip lower and lower into the sky and the blazing, golden ball of flames known as the sun rise higher and higher.

Vivanna sipped on the hot chocolate and felt the warmth that the liquid radiated seep into her system and spread like wildfire, making her feel much better.
