Chapter Twelve: Blinded By The Burn... (Part One)

P.S- This has NOT been edited.

Vivanna closed her eyes as she felt the wind race past her cheeks and her body leave the sports car. Right as she expected to land onto the road she felt a vice like grip close onto her forearm and yank her back into the car. Her eyes shot open as she heard Leon curse as his car swiveled to the right and off the road. The car wheeled and just as it was about to crash into a tree, Leon pulled down the breaks and somehow managed to bring the car to a skidding halt.

"What was that Vivanna?" Leon barked as he turned on his seat to glare at her. "Why the hell did you just try to kill yourself?"

"'Cause you weren't stopping the car..." Vivanna mumbled and almost cursed herself when she realized that she sounded awfully childlike. "So you attempted suicide because you didn't want to go to the hospital...." Leon trailed off, "You sure you aren't nosocomephobic?"

Vivanna glared at Leon and parted her lips to reply when Leon's sports car gave out a very unflattering grunt and smoke began to stream out through the headboard of the car. "Aw fuck." mumbled Leon as he got out of the car. "Look what you did Des Chanel!"

"What I did?!" Vivanna shot back as she threw open the door and climbed out of the car. "I would have never done it if you had listened to me!" Leon glowered at her from beneath the open headboard before he turned around to study the now-steaming parts of the car.

"Shit. The engines damaged." he groaned. Vivanna froze. The amount of time it had taken to reach the cemetery had been roughly six hours. And then when she had followed Leon deeper into the forest, farther away... "Leon..." Vivanna called out, causing Leon to roll his eyes. "What?" He barked.

"How much time did your GPS system say that we'll get back in?"

"Why do-" Leon stopped halfway thorough his sentence to let out a curse. "I told you! This is all your fault Des Chanel!"

"My fault?! If you had just listened to me, none of this would have happened!" Vivanna retorted, causing Leon to let out a dry chuckle and push himself out from under the open car roof and towards her, until he stood a little away from her. His form towered over hers as he glared at her. "If you hadn't followed me," Leon growled, "This wouldn't have happened."

Vivanna narrowed her own eyes at the glowering boy. "If you hadn't been the jerk you are, none of this would have ever happened." she said as she thrust finger -using only the pads of her finger to do so, in order to avoid a panic attack- to his chest and shoved him slightly, as if to emphasize her point. Leon stumbled slightly as she did so and his glare only deepened.

Vivanna sighed. If they both kept up like this the only thing they would achieve was a throbbing headache and probably murder. Do what fake Vivanna would do, voice of reason spoke in her head said, Be the martyr.

"Alright, fine." Vivanna huffed out as she loosened her fists from their clenched form at her side and, heeded the advice of the voice in her head. "Why don't we just stop arguing about whose fault it is and walk to the nearest store so that we can ask where one could find a mechanic?" Leon's glare loosened and just for a second, Vivanna thought she saw bewilderment flit across his features, before they twisted back into their impassive state. "Fine. Let's go." Leon's sharp tone cut through the silence, "And keep up, 'cause I'm not going to wait up for you."

"Thank you." Vivanna smiled to the elderly shopkeeper, who directed Leon and her towards a mechanic. The elderly man grinned at her, whilst Leon rolled his eyes. They then left the shop and headed towards the mechanic shop that the elderly shopkeeper had directed them towards. Leon pushed the door and walked into the shop without holding it open for Vivanna. Vivanna huffed out her vexation.
