For some reason I had at first written this chapter in present tense... I had to rewrite the entire thing but oh well *shrugs shoulders*. So you better like this chapter and duly note to be kind in the comments ~

+ Slight Trigger warning. Don't wanna spoil anything but it contains graphic violence!

Chapter 13

Rebekah's POV

Another lunch at school and once again I felt nauseous by the pure thought of swallowing anything. So I sat down at what had become my usual table, took out my water bottle, and sneakily one of the pills I grabbed in a hurry from the morning.

To my dismay, I saw the guys walking my way and I quickly swallowed my remedy before they had a chance of seeing it. Everyone looked rather uncomfortable except Josiah who clearly was pissed.

"Hi, Rocky." Emeka sat next to me and I only nodded at him as a reply, which he looked hurt by. "You okay?" The tension was so thick you could feel it in the air, even worse when no one brought up the incident earlier either. I guess they understood that I'd never open up and if they wanted any sort of relationship with me they had to shut it.

"Yeah, I'm fine." I looked over at the opposite where Josiah, Trey, and Axton sat. "Just peachy." I heard them scoff as I took another sip of my water.

"No food today either?" Trey looks at the empty space in front of me and furrows his eyebrows.

"I already ate." My shoulders shrugged but they clearly saw through my lie.

"The cafeteria opened just five minutes ago. There's no way you came here, ate, and got rid of your stuff in such a short while." While Axton spoke, Josiah came beside me and took my bag in his hands.

"Hey, what the hell Josh!" I reach out to grab it back but got hold back by Emeka who whispered a small ′sorry'. "Seriously, that's private!"

Mere seconds after my continuing outburst he took out my finger small plastic bag that now only contained three blue colored pills. I looked down on the floor suddenly embarrassed. I hadn't had anyone who confronted me about my addiction, no one who even knew, less alone cared.

"You don't think I know an addict when I see one? You never eat, always fiddle with your fingers in some wicked paranoia." He came closer and took my chin in between his fingers. "Plus, your eyes are red." He showed my pills back at my chest before storming out and shortly after; so did I.

Josiah's POV

I basically slammed the door open and let out a frustrating sigh. Theories and assumptions had been exchanged on our way home but none made sense. Why Rebekah was a freaking druggie and all the commotion that had revolved around her.

"Wait! Gather around." Emeka who was last to enter stood crouched next to the door while holding something in his hand. "It's a USB, says Play Me." He handed it to me and just as he said, there was a small sticky note on the front of the USB written in bold handwriting.

"Is it any of yours?" They all shook their heads and I brought the stick to Axton's laptop that was placed on the dining table. The others stood on my sides and shuffled so they all saw the screen.

When I pressed play I regretted it in some ways. The video was edited and you noticed the difference in time over the scenes. The faces were blurred, all except one. Ear pitching screams would forever be carved into my mind. The taunting, cutting, and blood were stuck like a poster on my vision. Her expressions overpowered everything.
