Like a child, you gazed at the clear glass that stood between you and ice cream. You loved ice cream. You scanned the colourful ice creams, reading their respective labels. Kookie Monster. All Berry Bang. Cheesecake Factory. You were fascinated.
"Remind me why we're eating at an ice cream parlour for dinner." Harrison asked, grinning at your inner child showing.
"It's because I've been meaning to try out this parlour. I want to try their Awfully Chocolate Mix, it's on my bucket list."
This ice cream parlour was known for making a divine dessert. Chocolate cookie dough ice cream, chocolate brownie fudge ice cream, double chocolate cookies and cream ice cream, chocolate rolls, Oreos, caramelised biscuits, raspberries, blueberries, strawberries and both white and dark chocolate to top it off. It was basically diabetes in a bowl.
You've always wanted to try this concoction, but you never had the chance to. You were either too busy to stop by, or the parlour was full when you had the time.
"One Awfully Chocolate Mix please." Harrison ordered while you were still observing the ice cream. You were planning on getting a few take out tubs, to eat during sad movies or whenever you were craving.
"Stop staring at the ice cream Y/N, you'll scare them!" Harrison laid a hand on your back, guiding you away from the glass fridge. You pouted. You wanted to choose your take out tubs.
The dessert was placed on your table ten minutes later. You were in awe. It look divine, and extremely damaging to a body.
"I need a picture or it never happened." You lowered yourself so that you'd fit in the frame.
"Hey! You were in my shot!"
"But I am the shot." You joked and smirked. Harrison laughed sarcastically. He pretended to dislike your lame jokes, but you knew that deep down, he loved them.
"Alright then. Pose nicely. It's going on my Instagram."
You struck up on conversation with Harrison while eating. You talked to him about how you were so alone when they were away that you considered getting a dog. He talked about how eye opening the press tour was. You two talked about the plan to set Tom up on a blind date. You never had such a decent conversation with him. You two used to hurl insults at one another as if your life depended on it. But now, you could hold a fairly interesting conversation with him. You liked talking to Harrison. The way he talked was so intriguing. His eyes would enlarge when he was excited. He would use his hands to emphasise how amazing something was. His smile would grow bigger when he shared something funny. It was nice to see him so untroubled.
"I'm stuffed. I need to take a walk."
You groaned a little as you stood up. The dessert was amazing. It was so filling, that you needed to walk it off. Harrison suggested to go to the park, so you could walk and star gaze at the same time. Star gazing was on you bucket list, and coincidentally, on his too.
The sun had sauntered beneath the horizon by the time you left the ice cream parlour. The night had devoured the bustling city. The only thing that illuminated the streets were street lamps and lights from passing cars.
