“No. No. No. Not again. The last time you did this to me, the dude with one step away from being in prison. Nope. Not happening!” You exclaimed as you walked from one room to the next.

Your best friend was currently trying to make you go on a blind double date with her. She had been going on and on about some redhead she had met on the street earlier today when she had ran into the poor lad on her way to meet her brother at a cafe. Said redhead left with her number in his phone and her heart in his hands.

“Look, you haven’t had someone since-” Your glare cut her off before she could even mention the name,“I just think that it’s time to get back out there, and it’s only his twin brother!…And if he looked anything like Harry…”

You rolled your eyes before standing in front of the girl with your hands resting on your hips. You thought this over for a second, thinking about what the worst situation could be, even though it’s already been bad before. Your eyes looked at your pleading friend‘s eyes before squinting them together and bringing your hand to pinch the bridge of your nose, “Okay…Okay, I’ll go-BUT only if you promise to get me out of there if I need to leave in a rush!”

“I promise! Thank you, thank you, thank you!” She pulled back from the hug she had engulfed you in before holding you back at an arms distance, “Your guy’s name is Sam and he’s your age! It’s a match!”

“If you say so.”

“You look fine, come on!“

You twisted and turned in front of the mirror to look at yourself one last time before running a hand through your hair and giving up. If he didn’t like you when you looked like this then he didn’t deserve you. So with a sprit of perfume and a quick check of your watch, you and (y/f/n) were out the door and on your way to meet Sam and Harry.

The cab ride was a quick one and you found yourself getting more and more anxious as the destination got closer and closer. Harry had chosen a casual restaurant for the first part of the date and from there we would choose a pub or club to go to…Much to your dismay. You fumbled with your fingers furiously, trying to distract your mind from what good may or may not happen.

“Oh, I’m so excited! You’re gonna love Harry! Oh and I’m sure Sam is great too!”

You let out a huff as a form of laughter before opening the door of the car and walking up to the door of the restaurant behind your friend. You weren’t sure who or what you were looking for as you peered around, but once your friend began to quickly walk to a guy while waving at him. The guy was waving back with a large smile on his face and next to him was someone slightly taller than him with light brown hair and freckled cheeks.

The two started chatting happily, pushing and shoving each other as they laughed. My friend looked at me with a bright expression and larger, suggestive eyes as we walked towards the table. You only rolled yours but gave her a small smile in return. “(y/f/n)! And you must me (y/n)!” You painted a smile on your face and stuck your hand out to meet the redhead’s, “I’m Harry and this-”

“My name’s Sam. It’s nice to finally meet you.”

Big sparkling eyes met yours and you melted instantly. While Harry and your best friend hugged and chatted, you and Sam stared at each other. He looked at you expectantly and you quickly jumped out of your trance, “O-Oh-Um-My name’s (y/n), it’s-uh-it’s nice to meet you as well.”

The two of you laughed awkwardly before Sam reached his hand and gestured to the empty booth he had been sitting in prior to your arrival. You smiled at him and slide in as your friend did the same, she smiled at you with cocked eyebrows as he lips mouthed ‘you owe me!’.

Sam scooted in next to you with a soft smile on his face as Harry began talking to the group about a movie that was coming out next week that he was excited about. You all nodded along before the waitress came to take the drink orders.

After dinner, the tread to the club was a cold one which left you with chattering teeth and a shivering spine. Sam walked beside you with his hands shoved in his pockets, his eyes shifting to you every couple of minutes before they moved towards his brother and your best friend. The club was just a couple feet away and you were dreading every step. Every step closer to the club was one step closer to some girl who would steal your perfectly normal, perfectly handsome date.

“Man, I’m freezing my ass off,” Harry said before swiftly wrapping his arm around your friend’s waist. Your friend giggled softly, her flirting obviously getting her somewhere whereas you barely knew what you were doing. You peered at Sam from the corner of your eye and moved slightly to walk closer to the brown-eyed brunette.

“So…do you go clubbing a lot?” You shrugged your shoulder towards him which caused them to collide slightly, he chuckled as you giggled and shook his head, “Not really, just when Harry wants a partner or Tom is in town. Oh! Tom is the famous brother we were talking about, you’ll meet him sooner or later.”

Both of your steps faulted before continuing on the walk. He wanted you to meet his family? You had just met him and he was already wanting you to meet his family? But you would be crazy if you lied and said that you weren’t already attracted to all this guy had to offer.

“What about you?”

You looked over at him and chuckled to yourself as you thought about his question, “Me clubbing? Christ, I hate it really. It’s just not my sorta thing, ya know?” You shrugged your shoulders again while you tucked a piece of hair behind your ear. He smirked softly before nodding his head as you chuckled, “Yeah. I totally get it.”

The club’s bright lights were finally up close and personal. The line was short due to the cold night and with Harry and (y/f/n) all cuddled up with each other, it all became too much for the second duo.

“Wanna ditch this place?” Sam burst out as the first couple walked into the line outside the building, “I mean we both don’t really want to spend the next hour or two in there, do we?”

Your eyes widened at Sam’s brown ones staring intently at you, “Um…Not really. But this has kinda caught me by surprise, I thought you might want to be here?”

Sam scoffed and let out a chuckle as he stretched out his hand, “I’d much rather go home and have tea and a movie than club all night. Care to join me, love?”

You smiled softly at him before taking a hold of his outstretched hand and letting him intertwine your fingers. His warm hand brought warmth to your chilly fingers and you smiled at the small gesture. The two of you began the walk to his families home in the small borough of London, “So does this mean I’m meeting the family?”

He smiled and lightly swung your hands back and forth between the two of you, “Just mum and Paddy. Dad and Tom are away for some convention but don’t worry you’ll meet them soon enough…I plan to keep you around.” He brought your hand up and kissed your knuckles gingerly.

“Well, I can’t wait to meet them all…I think I like you Sam Holland…”

His brown eyes met yours before he looked down at his feet and then back up to meet your gaze again as a pink blush painted his cheeks, “I think I like you as well, (y/n) (y/l/n). Now let’s get you warm, darling.”
