Jessie took in a breath as she looked at the school in front of her. For the first time of her life she wasn't ready to climb those stairs to the crowded hallways and teachers dying to kill everyone with homework. She hadn't dared to pick up a single book or look through a slip of notes all weekend and she was praying that she didn't have to do anything major.
She had spent all weekend trying to remember what had happened. She couldn't remember anything past when she had drove away in David's car. She decided that she had to ask him, because it wasn't like her to suddenly wake up on a Saturday with a major hangover.
But first she had to go to class. Whether she wanted to or not, she wouldn't ditch class.
The whole school day took forever to end. She stood outside again watching all the students file out of the school and begin to loiter the sidewalks and pretty green grass. She bit her lip as she watched the last person exit without a sign of David anywhere.
She figured if anyone knew where David was then it would be her brother. She pushed through the crowds, occasionally receiving glares and remarks.
Jack sat on the grass talking with a pretty blond girl and Jessie couldn't recall exactly recall her name. Jessie approached cautiously and Jack looked up with a hint of a smile on his face from something that the blond whispered into his ear.
"I need your help."
Jack raised his eyebrows, "Me.. Help you? What could you possibly be wanting to even consider requiring my help?"
"Have you seen David?"
"David who? You gotta be more specific than that."
"David Nickols." The look that Jack suddenly gave her made her freeze. Oh God. Why did I even bother?
Jack chuckled, "Oh I see. Little sis has a bad boy crush." The blond giggled and Jessie's cheeks burned red.
"I do not! Answer my question." Jessie placed her hand on her hip and looked down at her brother with a stern and embarrassed look. Jack burst out in laughter and Jessie screamed out in frustration. Jack's laughter eventually died down and he coughed into his hand with a few after shock laughs.
"Look, you shouldn't even be around David. He's not... He's not your type of person to be around. He can influence chicks very easily."
The blond muttered, "You're telling me."
Jack rolled his eyes and Jessie's cheeks burned brighter as she read between the girl's remark. "Just don't hang around him."
"I'm tutoring him." She looked defiantly down at Jack but she was crumbling inside. TUTORING?!
"Tutoring? Does he even care about school to begin with?" He turned to the girl and she shrugged looking just as confused as all three of them felt.
"Y-yeah. Answer my question."
"Um.. No. I don't think I saw him at all today." That was all Jessie needed to know.
"Oh, Jack," She said before turning around to leave. "Maybe I want to be influenced by him." Jack's mouth fell open and Jessie disappeared into a crowd before he could let a word escape past his lips.

Jessie stared up at her ceiling, her covers crumpled around her body from jumping onto it. Her eyes wandered over the small dots and small cracks that a normal person would disregard.
"He'll reply. He has to." She glanced to the side where her laptop was open. She looked over the blank screen where it was supposed to be a conversation between her and David. He hadn't replied to her even when it clearly said he was online.
She knew something must have had to happen to make him not answer her. She sighed and raised herself up to a sitting position. She reached over and retrieved her laptop.
'Do I still have my virginity?' Her eyes skimmed over the words before sending it with a groan.
'Shouldnt u no that?' The reply came so fast and she found herself smiling. The smile soon slipped when she remembered the reason for bothering to talk to him.
'What happened at that party?'
'U dont remember?'
'No. All I remember is driving your car. What happened after that?' She groaned as he didn't reply for several minutes.
'Do u hav a marck on ur neck?'
She paused a moment, blinking blankly at the screen. Her hand slowly raised to trace both sides of her neck. 'No.'
'Then u didnt hav sex. The place was crawling with werewolfs.' Before she could start typing a number of seperate messages popped up to form a paragraph. 'I arrived at the party late cuz of those rogues. U were dancin with some guy. U also had ur tongue stuck down his throat.' She blushed. 'I took u home after that.'
'Wait. Why would I even be doing any of that?'
'Idk. U were the 1 with a hangover on saturday, huh?.'
'Why weren't you at school today?'
'U r dumb, huh?'
'What is with you and huh? Can you not even write properly?' The green light went out and she stared at it for a long while before closing her laptop screen. She had a sinking feeling in her heart and she couldn't figure out why.
