"It's been a week, and you have not seen him at all?" Margaret looked skeptical as she chewed on the end of her plastic Mickey Mouse keychain that was attached to her chain necklace. She leaned back against a tree and eyed Jessie.

Jessie grabbed random pieces of grass and began to tear them apart, not bothering to look up, "Yup. I just haven't seen him." She tried to say it as casually as she could without letting Margaret know how nervous she was. She really had tried to build up courage to talk to him, but she always chickened out at the last moment.

"I've seen him everywhere in school." Margaret growled softly, "What's the point in lying to me?" She rubbed her temple, dropping her keychain from her mouth, "You said that you would talk to him, Jessie."

Jessie whimpered softly, "I know. It's just hard." Jessie had seen him often around school. Even once in town.

Margaret looked up suddenly and she froze, "He's here."

Jessie's mouth fell open and she glanced behind her. Sure enough, he was there, leaned up against a tree like Margaret.

Jessie jumped up, "What the hell is he doing here? He always watches his little sister when it comes to full moon hunts."

Margaret shrugged and grinned, "Maybe it's the fates. Mates destined for each other come together with the full moon." Margaret studied Jessie's face and she sighed softly.

Jessie whimpered and disappeared behind the tree. Margaret growled and followed her, "Stop being a wuss and talk to him."

"Margaret!" Margaret flinched slightly when Jessie used her real name. That meant business. "Do you realize how hard this is for me? Its not as simple for me as it would be for you."

"Jessie, I--"

"No! Everything's so easy for you."

Margaret placed her hands on Jessie's shoulders and looked her straight in the eyes, "No, it isn't."

They both blinked when a howl pierced the air. Margaret let go of Jessie's shoulders and they began to run to the center of the woods. They stopped at the edge of a circle of their pack gathered together.

Jessie hardly paid attention to whatever her father was saying. She could feel that David was very close but no matter how many times she glanced around she couldn't find his familiar figure. She bit her lip and she felt a poke at her shoulder.

Margaret poked Jessie's shoulder again so she could have her full attention, "It's fixing to start, Sweetie."

Jessie nodded and she closed her eyes, feeling her wolf purr for finally being let out. She groaned softly as her bones shifted and changed. She opened her eyes again when the pain receded.

She stepped out of the pants she had been in and shrugged off her shirt. Margaret shifted not long after her with the rest of the pack and she had more difficulty getting out of the tight clothes she had been wearing.

Jessie looked around her self to find David's wolf and she stopped. David's wolf was big and dark, not hard to miss out of the other wolves. He was staring intently at her and his lip pulled back in a small growl. Her ears pinned back and she whimpered slightly, crouching down slightly and backed up against Margaret.

David's eyes darted to Margaret who was now growling at him and stepping in front of Jessie to block his view and turn his attention on her. He turned away and ran off to another side of the circle where other wolves had successfully changed. Margaret turned back to Jessie and licked her ear reassuringly.

He was faster and stronger than Jessie. She was no match for him. She could hear him not far behind her, running just as fast as she was. He was teasing her.

She ran through the forest, not even knowing where she had been led to. She had been running with the pack before this had happened and she could hear David growl beside her. He pushed against her till she steered away from the pack and he had been chasing her ever since.

She was beginning to grow tired as she continued to push forward. David continued to follow her, unfazed by the run that they were on.

She came to a stop when she found a long stretch of a powerful river rippling past. She heard a growl and she whimpered, turning around to see David looming over her.

She had no choice but to lower to the ground and expose her white belly. Her tail tucked between her legs, submitting to him. She was surprised when he leaned down and licked her neck fur. She whimpered softly and he continued to lick her.

*Why didn't you stop running?* Jessie was surprised that she could hear his voice echo inside her head.

Jessie whimpered, *Why can you talk to me?*

*Because you are mine.*

Jessie could hardly believe that he had said that, *No. Why really?* David growled at her and she growled back, her mind acting over her wolf.

He snarled at her, pulling back to look at her eyes, *Why do you doubt that? Can you even do this with anybody else?*

Jessie snapped her jaws near his face and he fell back off of her, avoiding her teeth. She rolled back onto her paws and her tail raised high in the air, challenging him now, *You hurt me... And my wolf. You think we can just forgive you that easily?*

He took a small step back but he continued to hold his head high, *Why can't you?*

Jessie snarled, *Because, you're a jerk. I can't trust jerks.* Jessie slightly crouched as if she would take off and David shifted quickly, reaching out and wrapping his arms around her fluffy stomach and chest. She growled when he pulled her close to himself and she could have easily turned around and bit his face. She wouldn't do that, though.

"Shift," He whispered while holding her back tightly to him. She growled and tried to wrestle out of his arms but it was useless for her. She scratched him pretty badly in her struggles but he ignored it, his attention only on her.

*You're naked.* She knew she would be greatly embarrassed if she shifted to human.

"So? It's not like we won't see or feel each other that way in the future." He grinned to himself knowing that one day he would take her fully. "Don't be shy."

She growled and struggled to get out of his arms again, *First of all, your hand would be gripping my breasts and I know you would probably like that, but I wouldn't. Second, I wouldn't want to risk being raped.*

He chuckled, "I wouldn't want to have sex with you anyway." Jessie growled angrily and he chuckled, "You didn't let me finish. Here would not be the right place to have sex. I wouldn't want your pretty skin to be rubbed against this hard rough ground."

She didn't believe him, *Shut up! You probably have no urge to screw me when you can have seconds or thirds with other girls around school?!*

"And you believe that?" His grip tightened around her, his mouth frowning slightly.

*Yes, now let me go!*

"I will if you agree to go on a date with me." Jessie paused for a moment from struggling.

*Fine. Now let me go.*

David grinned and leaned down to kiss her neck, "Good." He released her and he watched her take off into the dark forest. He swallowed hard, suddenly nervous. He had an urge to do everything in his power to make their date perfect. It had to be something he would never do for another girl.

Jessie panted softly as she neared her house. She was glad that the woods were located close to her house. She was able to escape to her back yard to shift.

She opened her back door and escaped inside, knowing that no one would be home since it was still night out. She ran up the stairs and slammed the door shut, panting harder than when she had arrived at the house.

She pulled out a pair of shorts and a comfortable shirt to dress in before she crawled into her bed and shut off the lights. She stared into the darkness, everything slowly making sense in her mind as her eyes adjusted to the darkness. She just couldn't believe anything.

"A date... With David Nickols?" It was so hard to believe.

She whimpered softly, "I am so dead."
