(Name) POV
I sat at my desk, analyzing the documents for these deviant cases that have been flowing in like crazy. It's not a secret that the technology the human race has belittled for so long would finally begin to fight back. Over time, the amount of Android cases have gradually increased and now they've called in detective Hank Anderson to be in charge of this case with his new partner. Although, nobody has seen his new partner at all yet nor do we know who it is. From what I've heard, his new partner may not even be a human, which is a bit unsettling because they are going to use an Android to hunt other androids.
I frowned as I felt a new presence enter the room. Turning towards the doorway, I see an Android standing there observing. Yeah, it may be an Android but it isn't like the androids I'm used to normally seeing frequently. As he observed the area, I grew curious on what model it was and what it's purpose for being here was. I continued to eye the Android curiously until he made eye contact with me, curiosity evident in my eyes as he made symmetrically perfect long strides over to where I was. Up close, I noticed how tall he was compared to me and it seemed a bit... Odd to me.
Up close, I noticed how perfect he seemed. He has a beautiful set of brown eyes that complimented his fair skin which had no trace of a blemish on it whatsoever. His hair was a nice chocolate color and had one singular strand of hair that seemed to make his perfectly symmetrical figure seem even more at ease. Although, his expression remained cold I knew I have not experienced this type of Android before. I was finishing up analyzing him when he finally spoke up.
"Hello detective (Last name), I am Connor, the Android sent by CyberLife in order to aid detective Anderson with the deviancy cases" the Android said, his voice sounding a lot different than what I've heard from previous Androids. "Nice to meet you Connor" I reply, holding out a hand for him to shake as he looks confused for a moment. He then takes my hand and we both shake hands, not too long or not too short. It was just the right amount of hand shaking and it seemed like the most professional handshake I've ever experienced. "I would like to know where Detective Anderson is and what time he may be arriving back" the Android said as I glanced briefly over at Hank's desk.
"Well, for starters I'd like to show you to his desk that way you'll know where to wait for him to arrive" I reply as I stand up from my swivel chair, stretching my limbs briefly. We made our way to Hank's desk as u began to explain things to him. "This is Hank's desk, what time he arrives totally depends on where he has been all night but he should be here before 12" I tell it as it nods. "Yes, I understand" the perfectly symmetrical Android replies as I begin to further explain Hank to it. "I've known Hank for some years and I would like to give you just a few ideas on his personality before he meets you" I generously state as the Android nods. "Yes, I suppose that getting to know Detective Anderson would be in my best choice" the Android replies.
"To begin, Hank does not like androids- in fact, he hates them. The best thing you can do is try to be more of an acquaintance than a machine towards Hank." I tell the Android as the LED light flashes a yellow before going back to blue. "And do you perhaps know the particular reason as to why Detective Anderson despises Androids so much?" It asks and I nod my head. "Yes, I know the reason behind it but it is not my place to tell you the reason why. Which brings me to another thing you should know about him. He has a colorful vocabulary at most times and drinks a lot. It is not healthy for him, which is why I need to ask you a question" I state firmly, all seriousness in my expression as the Android turns it's head to the side, seemingly curious. "And that question would be?" "That you watch over Hank, but not to where he seems like you make him out to be a baby. Just... Make sure he doesn't do anything stupid. I've known Hank to make some pretty irrational decisions based on his feelings" I say, knowing about Hank's son and how he must feel.
"I will make sure Detective Anderson is kept in working shape and that he stays healthy. Thank you for the information detective (Last name)" it replies as I nod. "It's alright Connor, you may call me by my first name. No harm done" I tell it with a reassuring smile. "Alright. I shall, Detective... (Name)" Connor says and smiles slightly. I then go back to my desk and completing an analysis on the deviancy files, most in which red ice has been reported to be seen at over half of the crime scenes.
Just as I was wrapping up, Hank walks in and he looks over in my direction. I smile kindly and wave at him, getting a grunt back but still something. In all honesty, Hank was one of the reasons I wanted to be a detective. He is one of the best detectives in Detroit and when I was a teenager I absolutely loved hearing about how he's solved cases. For now, he's like my idol and we are generally good friends. Once he arrived at his desk, he seen Connor and almost blew a fuse.
"What the hell is this plastic asshole doing here?" Hank asked rudely as I chuckled at his behavior. The Android then began speaking in a calm voice, explaining the situation and how they were to be partners on this case. Once the Android announced that to Hank, Hank did not seem like that. Once Connor began to speak again, Captain Fowler came from his office. "Hank! Get in here! (Last name)! You too!" Fowler yelled, clearly in a very bad mood today. Is it just me or has everyone been in a very crappy mood today? I honestly don't blame them, once Gavin shows up I know my mood will take a turn for the worst. Well the worst for him at least, which might not be such a bad thing for me.
I stood and hurriedly made my way to Fowler's office before he got a chance to upset towards me. "Yes sir?" I ask, standing next to Hank's chair, holding my hands behind my back as I await orders. Fowler's mood seems to have let up a bit as at least a line or two has disappeared from his forehead.
"Ah yes, (Last name) good to see you. As you three are aware, there has been a gradual increase in the amount of crimes committed by androids now. I have personally handpicked and assigned the both of you to work on this case, along with the Android that Cyberlife has so generously lent us to help out with." Fowler explains and my eyes widen at such a big case and opportunity in my hands. Working with the detective Hank Anderson and a prototype Android that was made specifically to solve these cases? This is the most honored I've felt about anything since graduating from the police academy.
As I was taking in all the details that had me feel absolutely successful at life, Hank blew up. His disappointment exploded into a volcano and I knew that this didn't seem like the best thing Hank had on his mind. Once I seen both of them yelling at each other I slightly flinched, almost unnoticeable but Connor seen it. I knew that this was not going to go well...
