(Name) POV
I was fake crying, and Connor noticed it too but the imposter Connor didn't. I use his lazy grip on me to lean my head away from the gun and push the imposter Connor, getting out of his grip as Connor (the real one) came and tackles the imposter. They both dropped their guns and I scurried to pick them up as they fought. I tossed one of them away but the other I kept in my hand as they both continued to fight until I stopped them.
"Stop it!" I demand, them both looking at me at I pointed it at them and they slowly got up. Each one of them holding their hands up. The Connor on the right began to speak.
"Thank goodness! (Name), shoot this imposter quick! Don't waste any time" he said, pointing to the other as the other didn't even speak. That made me suspicious of the one on the right off the bat. He seemed to have a perfectly scripted excuse. "I know one of you is Connor, my partner for over nine months and someone I care about and the other... Is an identical copy who's gonna get a bullet through the head for pulling a gun on me" I say, changing targets between the two. "But which one's which..." I ask myself as the Connor in the left speaks.
"Why don't you quiz us (Name)? Something only the real and genuine Connor would know?" He asks and I nod. "Alright... I'll play your game" I say, thinking of questions only Connor would know. I think of one and I ask it.
"What happened at Stratford tower?" I asked, looking for one specific answer as the Connor on the right spoke fast and didn't skip over one detail except for when he pressured me to talk about Markus and his owner Carl. I grew suspicious. "He uploaded my memories..." I hear the Connor on the left whisper.
I point the gun at the Connor on the left, not taking any chances. "Alright, next question..." I say, giving each one of them a cold hard stare. "Where did we first kiss?" I ask and the Connor on the right didn't say anything. "At the police station... Right before you and Hank caused a distraction for me" the Connor on the left said. I hummed.
"Last question" I announce, both Connors looking at each other menacingly and then back at me. "What did I want to be before a law enforcer?" "A mechanic, just like your father before he died. Because of his death, you wanted to join a force that could allow you to help society a lot more than what it's done for you. I remember. I remember you told me the night I comforted you with the first hug, hoping not to see you so upset because I cared for you too much" the Connor on the left said, his tone softening as if each word could break if he said it too loudly.
I didn't say anything, I only stared into his eyes to find a familiar comfort within them. I looked at the other one, seeing nothing but emptiness in them as I went back to staring into the Connor on the left's eyes and finding that familiar comfort. "I could have said that too! He's the imposter (Name), neutralize hi-" I cut off the Connor on the right by putting a bullet through his head. I lowered the gun and hung my head, taking a deep breath. When I brought my head back up, I seen Connor in front of me. I looked up at him and he brought me into a hug, making me close my eyes and hug back as my grip on the gun loosened.
"I knew you'd do the right thing" I mumbled into his chest. I lightly squeezed him as I pulled away from him. I gasped, knowing I had to find Hank soon. "I have to find Hank, good luck Connor." I say while getting ready to hurry off and try to find Hank. I was an arm's length away when he pulled me back and leaned down to kiss me softly, yet lovingly. "I'll find you once this is over" he said as he cupped my cheek softly and stared into my eyes. "I want to come with you- to help" I say and he shakes his head. "If they don't know you are human while you are there, they'll kill you. Unlike me, you won't come back. I want you safe (Name). Once you find Hank, I want you to go home or anywhere to find shelter while this happens." He says and I feel uneasy about it but nod anyways.
"Ok Connor" I sigh, getting out of his hold and turn back to see him getting ready to do it. He grabs one of the Android's arm and connects with them. "Wake up" Connor demands as I head to the elevator and pass the guards who are no longer living. I take one of the automatic rifles and hold it. "Wait, Connor!" I yell and he turns to me as the Androids' voices kept saying "wake up". "Here!" I yell, tossing him the handgun and he catches it. I get into the elevator and press a button, not knowing where to go but knowing how to find Hank. As the elevator was high off of the ground I looked down at Connor.
"Stay safe..." I mumbled, pressing a hand to the glass as his figure disappeared.
