(Name) POV

I woke up, tangled in sheets and another body as I opened my eyes. I unwrapped my legs from around the sleeping person next to me as I looked down and realized I had no clothing on. When I looked over, he didn't have any clothes on either and I felt a funny feeling down south. My hair was a mess, so was his and I lifted my hand to touch his face. Memories flooding back of last night as a small smile graced my lips. I touched my hand to the sleeping male's face, moving a strand of hair from his eyes as he seemed to be in some sort of sleep mode which I found cute.

I traced his jawline with my hand, lightly touching his skin. His expression was a soft, untroubled one as he seemed at peace. I wondered if he was able to dream, and if he dreamed what were they of. I had a blissful feeling coming over me, a happy ending was something I felt content about. I felt connected to this being- this person who laid next to me.

I knew I also had to get up and do something about my morning breath too. Slowly untangling my libs from his, I began to get up off the bed and I was about to take the first step onto the floor until a hand intertwined with mine. I turned back to see he had awoken, his beau dark brown eyes full of life as I remembered the first day I met him. Since then, he became more human and the fact he was able to live free was something I felt proud to help, no matter how small I attributed.

"Where are you going, (Name)?" Connor asked me, curiosity buzzing in his tone. "I'm going to take a shower and start my day in order to meet Hank for one last time" I tell Connor and he frowns. "Your tone indicates that you are leaving soon. Why?" Connor asks and I smile at his childlike curiosity. Even after what happened last night, he still seemed so innocent sometimes.

"Yeah... I am. I want to leave this place... And possiblg move on to the next" I say, hope filling my eyes. "If you mean to the next life, I highly disagree with that choice" Connor says in a serious tone, causing me to chuckle. "No... I don't think im ready to die yet but... I want to leave Detroit, I want to find a new home" I say and Connor smiles. "I would follow you to the end of the world" he said and I felt like I heard that line from somewhere. "What book of mine did you reference that from?" I ask, raising a suspicious brow. "A book of yours titled 'Until I die', the second book to your 'Die for me' book series. From my guess, I'm thinking that series might be one of your favorites" Connor explains and I nod. "Yes, the idea of a human being able to love someone different from her species is a story I love. Despite him being another species but also the same, Kate inspired me" I tell Connor (Kate is the main female character in the Die for me series. I love it so much).

"Well, I'm going to shower now so we can go and meet up with Hank" I say and Connor doesn't let go of my hand. "Can I come with?" He asks. "Sure, but don't try anything funny" I say in a playful tone, laughing at the end. "Looks like that activity is not happening today" Connor mumbles and I was surprised. "Wait, you actually were going to try something of thst nature?" I asked him. "It is currently 12:14 in the afternoon" Connor says, looking at my alarm clock. He changed the subject but he still joined me in the shower.

We were in the water, a tender moment we were able to share. "So, where do you plan on taking us?" Connor asked as I washed my shoulders and everywhere else besides my back. "Connor, can you wash my back for me?" I ask, holding up my loafer for him to take. He took it without hesitation and began to wash my back, moving my hair out of the way so he could wash part of my neck too. I leaned my head forwards, sighing softly as he gently massaged my skin with the soap.

I let the water slide down my back, rinsing off the soap. As I leaned my head back upright, Connor hugged me from behind, pressing a soft kiss on my neck. I hummed in pleasure as he continued to kiss my neck. "Haven't you put enough marks on me?" I asked him as he pressed another kiss onto my neck. "Perhaps... But as it is said, 'the more the merrier'" he quoted, causing me to giggle. I stopped giggling once his lips brushed over my sweet spot, causing my breath to hitch. I had to speak or else what happened last night would happen again, not that I'm complaining. Hank wouldn't want us to show up an hour late, especially with this weather outside.
