Connor's POV (weren't expecting it, were ya?)
I sat in (Name)'s living room, observing everything in her cozy little home. When she came out of the bathroom that way... It made the situation feel... Improper when she came out with such improper clothing. Yes, I am aware that I am but a machine but it was still an indecent situation. At least I was not a human male, for they would have shown a sign of arousal or... Discomfort at a situation such as this one.
I notice that (Name) seemingly likes to collect small cars that dated back to the early 2020's. These cars are known as Hot Wheels and were known for younger males- children of male specimen to collect and play with. It was very rare to see these and I wondered why (Name) had them. I have also noticed that it seems (Name)'s favorite snack item is (favorite snack), which I would look into.
I scanned the item, seeing how much sugar was inside of the container. I examined mkre things in the kitchen, noticing that (Name) is either too busy to clean, or she does not take a liking to cleaning. I make sure I have a saved file on (Name), putting every memory I have with her in that save file in case I am destroyed. (Name) is a very interesting human that I do not wish to forget. While I am at it, I make a save file for Lieutenant Anderson just in case. I hear the water turn off and I make my way back to the living room, back to let the cat that has (cat's name) on the collar.
"So your name's (cat's name) huh?" I ask and the reply I got was a meow. (Cat's name) lays on my lap as I proceed to pet her, (Name) coming out of the bathroom with more decent clothing on as a tired sigh escapes her lips. "I don't have time for this..." (Name) says tiredly as I see she has decided to wear black skinny jeans and a simple shirt with a (favorite color) jacket. She zips up the jacket and a Taxi awaits us outside as we both get in and start our way over to Hank's home.
"A ten minute shower is good enough" (Name) says and lays her tired head onto my shoulder. I don't move, allowing her to get a small amount of sleep that is needed until we arrive over to Hank's. I can hear (Name)'s soft inhales and exhales as she seems at peace with sleep. I didn't know what to do, but her hair fell in feont of her face and I looked over to see her sleeping figure remain heavily sleeping. I look at my left hand, deep in thought until I decided to reach over and put that piece of hair behind her ear as I can see her whole face again.
'I would doubt that (Name) would want to wake up with her own hair in her mouth' i think to myself as I wait for us to arrive. After a while (Name) started to talk in her sleep, confusing me as I was new to this whole thing. Sleeping was already a complicated concept to grasp, but talking in your sleep seemed so... Foreign to me.
"Please don't leave me dad..." (Name) whispered. I detected the pain of loss to be evident in her emotions and I knew it was best to wake her up, seeing as we were almost there. I tapped (Name)'s shoulder softly, not getting a reaction from her. "(Name), wake up..." I say quietly as a small snore escaped from her mouth. "Wake up (Name)" I say, moving my shoulder and causing her head to fall forward and that to wake up abruptly.
"Huh? What?" She asked, slightly disoriented but coming back to her senses. "We're here (Name)" I announce as she gets out of the cab. We walk onto the lieutenant's porch and I begin to knock. "I... Thank you for allowing me to sleep back there Connor, it was nice of you" (Name) said and I stopped knocking and rang the bell. "I have no problem with such a harmless gesture" I reply while ringing the bell. "Lieutenant!" I shout and get no response as (Name) frowns. "I bet he's drunk again..." She mumbled and we went to look through the windows, seeing his dog, a Saint Bernard in the living room.
We look further and I see him in his kitchen floor as I do a quick scan, noticing that he's unconscious and not dead. (Name) sighs and I look over to her. "You may want to move back (Name)" I suggest and she stands a few steps to the side. I then run and launch myself into his window, breaking it and (Name) climbs in shortly afterwards. "He's drunk, I'll take care of him" (Name) says and I shake my head. "No, I believe I should be the one to complete this task. I shall get the Lieutenant to the bathroom" I tell her and she too, shakes her head. "No no, I insist" she tries as the Lieutenant slowly wakes up drunk and disorderly. "Hey you two should get room... Not my goddamned house" he slurred as I picked him up slightly and out his arm over my shoulder to that he can get to the bathroom.
"Hey! Get yer fucking hands off me..." He slurred as Sumo, his Saint Bernard stood up and walked our direction. "Attack Sumo!... Good dog" the Lieutenant slurred as Sumo went back to playing down. I reached the bathroom and I got him in the shower. "I don't want to take a bath..." He protested as I purses my lips together. "This might be a little cold Lieutenant... And you may not find this pleasing" I warn as I turn in the cold water in his shower.
He then flails around and I turn off the water, seeing his more... Sober side coming back. "The hell you doing here?" He asks in a very unhappy manner as to which I reply by telling him the situation. "Get me my clothes from my room and get me one of my suits" he commands and I comply, getting him a stripped suit and he takes it. "Well, what are you waiting for? A tip? Get outta her and go wait in the living room. And do me a favor Connor, don't put anything in your fucking mouth" the Lieutenant says and I respond. "Yes sir" I say and walk out, hearing the sounds of him throwing up whatever he has taken in.
I look over to see (Name) cleaning up the parts of his window and dumping the glass in the garbage. "I should fix his window since I have broken it" I suddenly say, startling her. "Jesus Connor! Don't frighten me like that!" She exclaims as I stand there, unknowing of what I have done. "Is something wrong, (Name)?" I ask and she nods quickly. "Yes! You almost gave me a heart attack!" She said and I scanned her, not seeing any possible her having a heart attack or stroke at the moment. "I did a scan and did not sense any possible ways that you could have had a heart attack or stroke at this specific moment" I say in a factual way, correcting her illogical statement.
"It was only a saying, geez!" She said, slightly irritated but not all the way as I seen a picture of a child on the table. I turn away from (Name) and scan the person in the photo. After I scanned the photo, I discovered that this was Lieutenant Anderson's deceased son and decided not to ask about it at this time.
In a short period of time, the Lieutenant came out of the bathroom and we all went out to his car. "I call shotgun" I said and (Name) looked at me, a small smile seen on her face. "He who calls it, owns it" She said and Hank snorted. "It isn't even alive, why is it suddenly a 'he'?" Hank asked her as I stood, not speaking on the matter.
"Well sorry for trying to enlighten everyone" (Name) muttered as Hank got in the car. I then got in the car, taking front passenger seat as (Name) explained.
I stared, analyzing everything I seen and then slightly turned to see (Name) on her phone. I scanned her phone and seen she was reading a book. I analyzed further to figure out it was a romance book she was reading. I continued to analyse what part she was on and it was a... Heartwarming scene? Is that was humans call it? Heartwarming?
I watched as her eyes looked happy and a small smile to tug at her lips. Her (eye color) eyes tracing each line of the digital book carefully. I took in her expression as it was saved to her mental file. I knew that the romantic intersection was between two characters of different species, one being human and another... Fictional. I then looked back forward as Hank shot me a look out of the corner of his eye, a smug smile on his face.
"Is there something humorous around, Lieutenant?" I ask him. "Oh nothing, it's nothing. Get back to analyzing shit but if one goddamned itwm of mine goes in your mouth I'll make you walk to the Eden club" he responds and I do as he said. I continued to analyze, glancing back at (Name) from time to time.
"We're here" Hank announced. (Name) closed up her book and put the phone in her pocket.
"Well... Looks like we have quite a lot of investigating to do" (Name) said, slightly excited at the end. But unbeknownst to me, a short lived smile came onto my face that I didn't notice. Unfortunately for me, Hank did.
