My alarm clock began to ring, 6:30 am. I don't have work today but I completely forgot to turn the alarm off. I decided since I was already up, I might as well start getting ready. I'm surprised Ben didn't wake up with me considering he's a very light sleeper. Anyhow, I slipped out of the comfortable pajamas and pulled on some leggings and a tee shirt.
I skimmed the pantry for some pancake mix, my craving for the fluffy concoction overwhelming my brain. Ben began to stir, groggily shuffling out of the bedroom. His hair was in an adorable mess, his hands wiping the sleep from his purple-tinted eyes.
"Good morning, sweetie," I said softly, though the sound echoed through the nearly silent house. Ben just walked to the couch and sat, no response leaving him. I didn't feel offended though, he was very clearly tired.
"You want some pancakes? I can put whatever you want on them"
He simply responded with a soft head-shake, proceeding to lie down on the small couch. I decided to make him some anyway, just in case he changed his mind. After finishing the meal, I sat with Ben on the couch. At this time he was back asleep, softly snoring. I turned on the TV and waited for my boyfriend to wake so that we could do something today.

"Good morning, baby" he sat up carefully, livelier than before. He grabbed the plate of cold pancakes off of the coffee table, grabbing them with his hands before stuffing his face. He was definitely a huge dork, but he was my dork. We stayed on the couch a while, telling each other the latest gossip from our jobs.
"Last night was Andrews final bow. I sure am gonna miss him"
"I know sweetie. You only talk about him every day"
"It's not that often"
"Mmmmm. Whatever you need to tell yourself."
We continued the conversation until I had ultimately asked Ben what today's adventure would be. He suggested a movie and I suggested a light shopping spree. Obviously, we went shopping.
Our first stop was a lovely thrift store, full of vintage clothing and a few random items scattered around. While I was trying on a clearly homemade floral jean jacket, Ben was rummaging through a basket of records. I heard a loud gasp from his direction and headed that way.
"Ben? Something wrong?"
"Oh, just the opposite y/n"
"Well..."
He turned around to face me, revealing a Beyoncé record clutched tightly to his chest. He wore the biggest smile you'd ever seen, asking if we could get it. He reminded me of a child, begging their mom for a toy.
Ben grasped the record so tightly that his knuckles were beginning to appear white. He was very excited as we left the store with his item. The lot had a few more stores around, so we went inside those as well. I left my boyfriend to do his own thing as I looked at the handbags.
"Kate Spade..." I mumbled, holding the lilac bag in the air with my hand, "...Or Coach?"
I juggled the options before deciding on a completely different beige Calvin Klien. I walked out with the purse and went to find Ben. He was at Auntie Annes, a pretzel shop in the food court. The large soft pretzel almost completely covered his face, making it difficult to find him.

Bens POV
I fumbled with the different rings, examining the stones on the band. Its only been a few months, but I know that there is no one else I'd rather spend my life with. I'm nearly 30, its time I settle down and start a family. I've always loved kids, and who better to mother mine than y/n? I knew she'd be gone for at least an hour, so I looked at more and more until I found the perfect one.
