Chapter 15

I still have an hour to be with her.

We are sitting in a soft fabric with a sand underneath. There's a basket full of sandwiches and foods, the weather is cool and windy. France was leaning on my chest as I hug her behind. The sun is almost set and it is the most beautiful thing I've seen on earth together with the girl I love the most.

We are here in the beach, my favorite place. Tinupad ko ang hiling ni France na mag-date dito. We had so much fun, nag-usap kami tungkol sa school, nag-kwentuhan, naglaro pa nga kami ng cards at kumain. We also played in the water, but I am carful not to tired her. After that, nagpahinga na kami

I smiled weakly. Yes, everything is perfect but we both know that it will end today. Niyakap ko ng mahigpit si France at napapikit. I still have faith that she will survive.

Naramdaman ko ng may humalik sa pisngi ko. I chuckled and buried my face on her neck. Tumawa ng mahina si France. "What are you thinking?" Tanong niya.

I open my eyes and stared at her. "Nothing." I said. Kapag sinabi ko ang gusto kong sabihin, baka umiyak na naman ako.

She carress both of my cheek. "Tell me please. I want to know what's on your mind." She said.

Napabuntong hininga nalang ako. "Do you really want to know?"

"Yes."

Hinalikan ko ang noo niya. "I don't want you to go." There I said it.

Tinignan niya ako at ngumiti. She buried her face on my chest. "Everything will be alright, Xyrone." Sabi niya.

No, it's not. Everything will not be alright if she'll be gone. Pinigilan ko ang luhang gusto ng pumatak pero mahina talaga ang loob dahil kusa nalang itong nahulog.

I tried my best not to sob but it just came out in my mouth. Hindi ko na kayang pigilan pa, tuluyan na akong umiyak. I don't want to lose her!

France wiped my tears away. "Don't cry please.." She said.

Niyakap ko siya. "Hindi ko kaya. Ayokong mawala ka sa buhay ko France! Gusto ko pang bumawi sa'yo! I want to spend more time with you and love you." Sabi ko. "Kung hindi lang ako naging gago, hindi ka sana umabot ng ganito."

Umiling siya. "Don't say that. Mahal na mahal kita Xyrone, lahat gagawin ko para sayo dahil mahal kita." She said while crying.

I stared at her and realized that her face are getting pale. Nagsimula na akong kabahan. No.. Not yet please...

She smiled and leaned on my chest. "Naalala mo ba noon? Nung una tayong nagkita?" She asked, tumango ako.

"I gave you a love letter and confessed my feelings about you but you just ignored it." Sabi niya habang tumawa ng mahina.

"I'm sorry I did that." Sabi ko.

"It's okay."

Naalala ko noon, nung third year high-school pa kami. She suddenly went to the locker room and gave me a letter. I ignored her because there were a lot of people around they started teasing us. Ayaw ko nun, kaya hindi ko tinanggap ang letter niya.

Since that day she started courting me, she gave me flowers and stuffs pero hindi ko tinanggap yon. Ayoko kasing may lumalapit sa'kin, I don't want to have friends.

Ilang beses ko siyang tinulak palayo, pinag-salitaan ng masama at sinaktan. My wish before was to get rid of her, na sana mawala nalang siya sa buhay ko kasi nakakairita siya.

I never thought... That wish will come true.

Ang gago ko talaga.

"Hindi yon okay France. I hurted you." Malungkot kong sabi.

"Wala na tayong magagawa, Xy. Nangyari na." She said.

Hindi na ako nagsalita pa. We stayed silent until she suddenly faced and kiss me in the lips. I responded and deepened the kiss, she moaned.

Humiwalay ako at hinalikan ang noo niya. "I love you, France."

She smiled. "I love you too."

Nagulat ako ng bigla nalang siya napasobsob sa dibdib ko. She was breathing heavily. No..

"I-it's time.. Xyrone."

"N-no, no, don't go France!" Sigaw ko at niyakap siya ng mahigpit.

Niyakap niya din ako ng mahigpit. "Mahal na mahal kita, Xyrone."

"Don't leave me please.." I pleaded.

She smiled at me. "I may be not here physically but I'm here with you always."

She said those last words before closing her eyes.
