< Shouto x Reader | Promise

Y/n frowns when she opens the door, only to find her boyfriend Shouto, playing with their cat Kiro.

The dual haired boy looks behind him "Oh there you are" He says with a gentle smile, happy to see his lover again.

She only gives him a nod in response, moving towards the bed and sits down. Shouto eyes her suspiciously, it wasn't like for her to be so cold.

"Everything alright?" He asks and sits up from the floor, letting Kiro of his lap.

The female folds her hands on her lap, knowingly distancing herself.

"We need to talk"

Her lips trembles slowly. Shouto feels his heart sink to the ground, was there something he did?

"About what?" His voice came out as a whimper, he curses himself for sounding so desperate, but he loves her with all his heart.

"We need to take a break" She says in a stoic voice, it shatters the boy's heart. He doesn't believe it.

"What? No Y/n, you can't be serious" He walks over to her.

"I am" She replies.

"No, stop" He gently cups her cheeks to look into her eyes, but she refuses and roughly pulls her head away.

"I'm leaving" She dodges around him. Shouto's eyes widen as he reaches out for her arm.

"Y/n, talk to me! what's wrong?" His voice comes out more harsh than he intends too. The female grits her teeth together, but keeps herself composed.

"There is nothing to talk about, I need a break and I'm leaving now" She pulls away from him and starts packing her clothes out from the closet.

"Stop"

He grabs her clothes and throws them into the closet again.

"Shouto! what are you doing?" Y/n clenches her fists together. He only frowns and stands in front of the closet.

"You are not leaving" The heterochromatic boy says firmly, making the female squint her nose. "So stop trying"

"Shouto, I said I am done!" She tries to moves his form, but he stand attached to the floor. "Ugh move"

"No"

"Stop playing Todoroki, I'm serious" She takes a step back and crosses her arms.

Shouto feels his chest tighten, his heart is pounding like never before, but he refuses to show it.

"Then tell me what's wrong" He demands.

Y/n groans and heads towards the bathroom, quickly packing up her toilet necessities. She walks out the bathroom to find her boyfriend still guarding the closet door.

"Shouto, it's over, now step aside" She places her smaller bag on the bed. Shouto shakes his head slowly.

"Why! Why are you doing this?" His eyes narrow painfully.

"Because I don't love you anymore!" Y/n yells out, her hands helplessly falling to her side. Shouto bit the inside of his mouth.

He still doesn't believe her.

"You are lying"

"No, I am not"

The tension in the room can suffocate any living being. Y/n sighs and asks him to move one more time.

"No, I will not let you do this" He response and looks down to the floor. "I still love you..I will give you all my heart, even if you break it into a thousand pieces"

"Fine, then I am leaving without my stuff" Y/n turns her heel and leaves for the door. Shouto knows that she can't leave without her phone so she would be back.

The second the door slams shut, Shouto grabs her toilet necessities, phone, charger, wallet and throws them into the closet.

As on cue, he hears the apartment door open. Y/n triumphal walks into the room.

"Shouto where are my wallet and phone!?" She smears at him.

"It's inside the closet" He answers her truthfully.

"Why are you keeping it in there?!"

"I'm protecting it" He says in a monotone voice.

The second she heard that, her cute snickers left her lips. Until she started balling out in laughter.

"Why are you laughing?" The dual haired asks, kind of relieved to se her beautiful smile again. She just keeps rolling on the floor.

"It's just a prank babe, I would never leave you" The girl pants out, patting the spot next to her.

He let's out a relived smile. "Good, because I would not let you leave like that"

He walks over and lays on top of her chest, hugging her body so gently. His head laying comfortably on her chest as she trails her hands through his hair.

"Don't ever do that again"

He glances up at the girl with a cute pout.

"That I can't promise" She giggles, moving her finger up to her lip teasingly.

Shouto furrows his eyebrows before planting his head on her chest again.

"As long as you don't plan to make it real one day" He whispers quietly. Y/n smiles softly, knowing how much love there is between the two.

"I'll never leave, I will love you forever"

She gives him a kiss on the forehead lovingly, knowing that he loves that gesture.

She continues.

"And that I promise"
