The next day was as normal as it could be. No signs of the goblin king. No goblins. Just Karen. So, it's not as normal but she can get by. Her eyes dart to the living room where Karen resides for the moment. The bedroom she was supposed to sleep in was still stockpiled with storage. She thought of organizing it, but her lifestyle hasn't exactly been healthy. She got up and prepared breakfast and took a bath herself. The winter's gust of wind entered from the open living room window to the baths that gave her chills.
She opted out then, wrapping herself with a towel hopping to the living room again to close the window.
Tiptoeing around Karen, who was still sleeping, she reached out for the windows and then the television remote. Even in this apartment, she could never seem to lose the habit of leaving it on despite sleeping. "What a waste of electricity." She mutters. Soon after sigh left the air and then magical dust covered the room. There appeared Jareth in his mighty Goblin King suite.
"I'm the one for lust, sweet thing. But I'm sure it can wait just in time in honeymoon."
"JARETH!" In her shock, she threw the remote to his face. To his advantage, he swooned right under to evade and got a grin plastered on his face. But even though she was half naked the entire time, his eyes avert and to the window, which is now closed. His grin still evident, he opened the window, and the cold breeze of winter's morn entered the room!
"Ah! The cool air of the land above ground! Such a pity this breeze is rarely under." He said cooly as his head tilted upwards to experience the breeze further. His hair grazing his face.
"What the hell are you doing here so early!?" She asks as she bolted to her room in a matter of a few curses.
"Well since I am to be your betrothed, is it not a proper action to visit my bride-to-be, first thing in the morning?" His voice was a little muffled since he was in the other room, but Sarah could hear very clearly and see in her mind's eye the face that came with those words.
She gave a light chuckle.
"Ah... Is there something to be jubilant about? Perhaps excitement of what is to come?"
"No spying, Jareth. And for the record, there hasn't been any agreement whatsoever!"
Karen woke from the ruckus, attempting to fix her hair as she wore her glasses. "Who's who?" She mumbles half asleep.
"Ah, good day milady step mum!" Jareth greets as he reached out to greet her with a shake in the hand. Barely recognizing the hand, Karen got up from the sofa and got escorted to the dining table in half a wink.
One of the hidden goblins from the shadows quickly took the plates from the dishwasher to place it upon the table. But Karen was too lightheaded to understand what was happening. In her mind, she thinks she's dreaming. Not long after, she looked at Jareth quizzically, expected something of an answer. He remained looking longingly at the door where Sarah was in, however.
"Dear, the table's ready, I'm sure your next job can wait!" Karen shouts.
Out of the closet, Sarah looked as comfortable as a pillow. She already had breakfast, so the invite was half a little too late. Her sweater long, and her leggings warm, she joined them for breakfast before deciding to visit the theater that called her before.
One of her friends used to act and sang there all the time. And when it was a free day, she'd often visit to help out with the plays. It was rarely she ever acted nowadays, but when she does, she was always paired with a certain random guy who has a character that looked like the Goblin King for some reason.
Which is why she opted out of acting for the moment. Everywhere she turns, the Labyrinth is all she sees.
