6:30 AM
There was a knock on the door. We all groaned, and I wasn't going to get up, until I heard the crying. Who would be crying on our doorstep at 5:30 in the morning? I got out of my bed, and opened the door to find Chase standing there.
I looked at Chase and then quickly pulled him into a hug. "Come in and tell us what's wrong." , Kay said from behind me. Chase sniffled, nodded, and followed me inside. "Jennifer, bring out the snacks.", I said. Whenever someone felt really bad, we brought out our stash of sweet and salty snacks. The snack stash in our cabin was really impressive.
"Take whatever you want.", I told him. Chase nodded, whipping away tears, and told a pack of twizzlers.
"Good choice.", I said, picking a pack of skittles. Chase sat down on my bed, and we all gathered around him.
Kay squeezed his hand, "Tell us what happened, whenever you're ready of course." Chase nodded, took a deep breath and started talking.
"I was flirting with Justin the whole night, everyone could see that. He seemed into me too, and he's really cute. Towards the end of the bonfire, some girl, a short brunette started flirting with him, even though I was five feet away. She took out a sharpie, and wrote her number on the inside of his arm. She said to call her if he ever wanted to have a good time. That kinda pissed me off, but I didn't want to seem possessive, so I suggested we take a walk. We started talking, and we got to the dock. He sat down on the edge, and motioned for me to do the same. Before he could start talking again, I kissed him. Just flat out kissed him. He kissed me back, and it really made me really realize I'm gay. I mean, I always went back and forth with it, and he was the first guy i've ever kissed. I've kissed girls before, but it really clicked with him. Justin pulled back before I did. I smiled at him, and he looked confused and told me he had to go. He ran off, back towards the cabins. I sat on the dock, probably for about 30 minutes, before I started to cry. I saw it was about six, so I headed back to the cabin. When I got there, I found out that he decided to take that brunette up on her offer. She was in his bed. Justin saw me walk in, and he said that it wasn't what it looked like, and I ran out of there, over to here."
By the end of his story, he was sobbing again. Jennifer, Megan, Kay, and I all hugged him really tight. "This, is why rejection sucks. But I'm kinda confused, I mean, from what I can tell he was really-", I was cut off by a knock at the door. Then a voice.
"Chase! I know you're in there! I need to talk to you. I wasn't what it looked like.", Justin said.
I looked at Chase.
"Do you want me to let him in?"
