Chapter 22 Mitchell's point of view.

When I walked into the comic store I was excited but then I was let down. It wasn't anything like I expected. I thought it would be like this giant comic store I saw in a movie once that basically had a little bit of everything. This comic store was small and full of a bunch of nerds. I just  stood there for a minute and I was kind of embarrassed to even be in that store. Right before I turned around someone tapped my shoulder. I turned around to have Taylor's face about five inches from mine.

"dude, back up and get your face out of mine," I said pushing him out of the way and walking to the door. He stopped me.

"I did not know you liked comics. Where is Nicolett?" He asked. I was already starting to get annoyed.

"I don't like comics and I am going to go find her why?" I said.

"Oh I just thought I would finally have a comic buddy at the camp. And I was just wondering. I heard about you guys. You are so lucky she is so beautiful," He replied. I had rolled my eyes when he said comic buddies but what he said about Nicolett caught me off gaurd a little.

"Yeah I know I'm lucky and I know she is beautiful. Don't try anything with her kid," I said then walked out of the door before he could say anything else.

I hadn't remembered where Nicolett said she was going to be so I just started walking in the direction that we were going. After a few minutes Nicolett had texted me telling me she would meet me at the bus that night before we went off to our hotel's. My heart kind of sank. I was hoping to make a bigger move on her today instead of t\just that flirty stuff we usually do. I decided just to walk around and explore the city a little more. As I was walking I came across a store I coould get something for Nicolett at. I counted my money. I had a whole lot more than enough to get her what I wanted to get her. I walked in and found the necklace in the jewlery case in the center of the store. 

The necklace had a long silver chain and it had a charm with some sort of swirly design in it and it had diamonds in the design. I asked the lady that worked at the store for it and I handed her the cash. She put the necklace in a little box and handed it to me along with chain. The necklace was $250. I put the necklace into the deep pockets of my shorts and left the store to find a flower shop. when I got there I got one dozen of pink and white roses. Then I Pulled out my phone and texted Nicolett.

hey cutie, you know that carnival thing on the pier? can you meet me by the ferris wheel over there?

I sent the text and sat down on a bench waiting for her to text back. At first I didn't worry me how long it was taking her to text me back I knew she was probably with the girls in her cabin but after half an hour I started to get nervous. Wasa she ignoring me again? Had I done something wrong? After an Hour of waiting I looked at the clock and it was 8 PM. I decided to call her. After three rings she picked up.

"Hello?" She answered.

"Hey where are you did yo get my text?" I asked her

"Yeah I'm just uh...busy with someone...kind of," She said. I could tell she didn't waant me to know what she was doing.

"Okay well I will see you later before we go off to the hotels," I told her.

"Okay see you later," She said then hung up.

I was kind of dissapointed. We had planned on spending the whole day together but she just blew me off. When I got to the buses she wasn't there yet. After a fe wminutes I turned around and she was hugging another guy. I started to walk towards her.

"Nicolett?" I asked her. She looked at me and her eyes got big with surprise.

"HEy, uh Mitchell. Sorry about today I just met him and we decided to hang out. It was nothing bad, nothing happened," She told me. I could tell she was very nervous.

"Is he your boyfriend?" The kid asked her.

"Yes,"  I said before Nicolett could say anything else. Nicolett looked at me confused.

"Or at least she was going to be," I said dropping the flowers and necklace onto Nicolett's arms and turned around to go find Chase and Justin. There were tears burning in my eyes. I had never ever felt this way about a girl ever in my life and as expected she went and betrayed me. I felt like I was acting like a girl but I didn't even care. Nicolett was everything I have ever wanted. I found Chase and Justin and they both saw the look on my face and they knew something had happened between me and Nicolett.

"What happened?!" Chase asked me hugging my quickly. I just shookk my head. I didn't want to talk. I saw Nicolett running towards me. She had the necklace and flowers in either of her hands. She had a death grip on both. When she reached me she looked like her eyes were getting ready to pour.

"MMitchell I'm sorry nothing really actually happened," She said. Then her little friend came up behind her.

"Hey you're a good kisser maybe we should hang out tomorrow," He said winked at her, glared at me that walked away.

"Nothing happened?" I said to Nicolett in a sarcastic voice.

"I didn't want to do anything," She said.

"So now you're changing your story?" I asked her. I felt my voice starting to raise, "You know you are everything I've ever wanted in a girl and I seriously thought we had something but we obviously don't. I really like you Nicolett. I really do but I don't thin I trust you anymore," I said. I turned around and walked away ignoring everything she yelled at me as she chased after me.
