The melodramatic song plays slowly behind her as she applies her make up.
People told her she didn't need it, that her dark bloody brick color hair and abanaster paired with her icy blue eyes already made her pretty. But she never believed them, as a kid back on earth the kids made fun of her because of this they called Her a freak amongst other things. But enough about that back to the story...
"We don't have to do this if you don't want to really, I can just say you got sick" Garrus said pleadingly
"I have to meet him sometime and actually want to hun! come on how bad could it possibly be?" Shepard said ducking out from her wardrobe.
As she turned back to her dresses thumbing trough them a knee length silver and blue chiffon dress cough her eye. she slipped it on and walked out "So how bout this one?" she said twirling.
"Woah, you look stunning!" he said walking over and taking her hand.
He couldn't believe it when she first told him how she felt about him, back on the SR-1. She pulled him into her cabin late one night and told him straight out how she felt. after she had said it he stood there against the wall mouth gaping open. Her eyes had Teared up and she stared to turn around, he grabbed her shoulder and kissed her. Not one of those quick ones but a long romantic one that pools warmness in the pit if your stomach and bubbles up slowly until you can't take it any more
"Lost in memories Garrus?" Shepard said humming.
"Yes, actually. I was just thinking about the night you told me how you felt about me. Way back in the SR-1. Those where the days huh?" he said wrapping his arms around her waist and sitting his head on her shoulder.
"Yea, those where. But there where shit tons of reapers and very little time. But now.... there's no reapers and lotsa time." she said twirling around to face him. "God I love you Garrus" she wraps her arms tighter around his boney waist. 'Times like this' she thinks ' are the real reason I live' she lays her head on his chest.
"I love you too Billie, I love you too" Garrus says kissing her forehead, cheeks , then lips.
