Back on earth,16 and running always...from the cops, the crazy's, or a man trying to use her... He catches up to her, pushes her down, punches her "you like that huh! You stupid whore! Stop moving! Damn!" He yells the lust and fire in the batarians eyes shakes the poor girl with the red hair to her core. All she can do is squirm and hope someone comes to help her.... They don't.
Then Shepard wakes up screaming...
Garrus POV
I wake up to her screaming, he is sitting up in bed still asleep she is screaming bloody murder.
"Shepard! Billie! Baby!" I say pulling he into my arms. She is ice cold, cold sweat pooled on her forehead an dripping down her body. My hands find them selves in her cold wet hair, and she is crying now.
"Oh my god, no no no no no no" she weeps.
"Billie, what happened please talk to me." I say rubbing her arms.
"NONONONONONONO!" She yells pushing me away and jumping out of the bed. Scanning over her still naked body I can now see scars on her back and thighs, now isn't the time I figure.
I take it as a cue to get out of bed, I go to grab her shoulder but she pushes me away and runs down the hall into the bathroom.
The only thing I can hear in my head is the sound of her screaming and yelling no at me.....
Shepard POV
The water in the shower is so hot I think I can feel my skin burning off. But I don't care maybe it will burn away; Those memories, the horror from last nights nightmare. But I know subconsciously they won't that kinda shit just stay's there's no getting rid of them.
Garrus knocks on the door before he comes in, I don't even attempt to pull the shower curtain over.
He is still nude, looking at him I feel a sense of calm rush over me. Those good memories from last nigh come over me.
"I'm sorry I.... There is stuff I need to tell you... But not know.... Please come here." But before I even finish me sentence he in there with me. Already wrapping his arms around me, god these are the reasons I love ,him he is my rock.
" Your gona burn of your skin like this baby." He says turning down the heat on the shower.
"I guess that was the point." I say putting my hands over the scars on my thighs.
He drops down to his knees and rests his head on my stomach,
"Please, Billie tell me who did this to you?" He says rubbing his hands along the scars that run up my thighs and into my hips.
I can feel the tears welling i my eyes " I was sixteen, still stuck on earth. In one of the slums... There was a... a... Ba... Batarian. Apparently the gang I had been running with owed him some money ad well I guess I was the.... The... Payment. He told me I was pretty, then pulled out two knives and.... Stuck them in my legs.... And and..." I brake down into tears and slide down the wall. Away from him and bawl he crawls over to me pulls me bridle style into his lap and holds me.
"Shhhhh... Billie... I'm here for you always... Just... Love...." That's all I can hear through my sobs. We sit there for what feels like hours, the water at some point went cold but it didn't matter. He kept me warm, he say there as I told him every thing... About earth.... About my squad... About every single damn bad thing that ever happened in my life... And he just sat there and held me, rocked with me, and wiped the tears and shower water from my face.
" But some how with the galaxy at stake I managed to keep it together and push it back into the recesses of my brain. Then after the all the love last night all that shit just came out. I just don't get it..." I sob.
"Everything happens for a reason my dear... But know I'm here.. Your garden in the hell fire.... I'm yours" he says running how hands through my hair again.
Before all this I never really believed in fate in angels but know... Now I do, and he is all of them.
