(2 weeks later)

"Bella, Denis will be here any second." Kuza yelled to me from down in the front entrance.

"I know, I'll be down in a few." I called back down to him.

I finished washing up my face, brushing my teeth, and getting ready. By the time I was done I heard a larger truck pulling up to the front of the house, well I guess it was more like a mansion.

I walked downstairs to the kitchen and was met with Kuza and Denis.

"Hey there sexy." Denis stated, enveloping me into a tight hug.

"Hi Ed." I said in a serious voice.

"Funny, Bella, really funny." Denis said while glaring at me, in an almost jokingly way.

"Thanks, I try." I chuckled.

"Everything's set up, so whenever you're ready you can go ahead." Kuza told Denis.

"Wait, what's set up?" I asked them.

"Let's go and I'll show you." Kuza stated.

Kuza took my hand and led me down to one of the other basement doors, Denis following right behind us.

"Holy shit." I exclaimed, walking into the room and realizing what was in it.

There was an ultrasound machine sitting in the middle of the room.

"You look surprised." Denis noticed.

"How did you get this in the first place, and secondly how did you get it in here?" I wondered.

"We've got connections, and we got them a Uhaul to bring it over." Kuza explained.

"Oh, of course." I sighed out.

"Do you mind if I do this right now to get it over with?" Denis asked Kuza.

"No, that's fine. I'm going to go and get some other things done." Kuza said, and then left.

"Okay, so I've got an hour to figure out how to work this thing, and you've got an hour to drink 40 ounces of water." Denis told me.

"Why is that?" I wondered.

"To be honest I'm not fully sure, I guess it's just to help see the baby." Denis said.

Well that makes me confident about letting him attempt to work this ultrasound on me.

(1 hour later)

"Got it." Denis hollered, finally getting the machine up and working.

"That's nice, my bladder's about to fucking explode." I groaned.

"Just relax, and it will be fine." Denis comforted me.

"What do you need me to do?" I asked.

"Take off everything but your bra and underwear, then lay down." Denis instructed me.

I did as instructed, and started to get a bit freaked out.

My opinion on the baby had not changed, however knowing that I was about to possibly see it on the screen I wasn't sure what to expect.

"What the fuck is that?" I asked, as some oddly warm gel was placed on my stomach.

"It's just part of the process Bella, just relax and I'll let you know when I've found the baby on the screen." Denis told me.

I followed his instructions, and relaxed as Denis dragged the one tool across my stomach.

"Bella, take a look at your baby." Denis whispered with a grin on his face.

I looked over at the screen, and I swore my entire world came to an abrupt stop.

Right there on the screen in front of me, was the first picture I've seen of this, my, baby.

"Th-th-that's my baby.?" I stated almost in a questioning tone of voice.

"Yeah." Denis smiled back.

My mind was spinning, I was on the verge of crying, cheering with joy, and getting angry. All of these emotions were clouding my head, but there was one emotion that clouded my head and heart.

Affection.

"C-Can I have a little bit of time alone." I whispered, afraid of my voice cracking.

"Yeah, of course. Before I leave though, I think you might like this." Denis told me.

He reached back over to the control panel, clicking a button.

My heart just about fucking broke.

The sound turned on, and suddenly I heard the baby's heartbeat.

I covered my mouth in shock and awe, and tried as hard as possible not to cry.

"Come on up when you're ready." Denis whispered, and then left to go back upstairs.

The little heartbeat kept going on, and on.

I gained the strength to finally touch my stomach, it was a whole new world now that I could actually see this living, breathing thing inside of me.

"I'm so sorry that I ever thought that I didn't want you. I promise you right now I'm going to keep you safe." I promised the sweet little baby inside of me.

This was the thing that was going to keep me sane, my very own baby.

It didn't matter who the father was, I was the mother.

This baby was mine.

I would do everything in my will power to keep her safe, I had 7 months to go and I had a feeling that all would be well.

"Bye, bye, baby. I'll be seeing you again very soon." I whispered, rubbing my belly gently.

I clicked the off button to the ultrasound, and instantly the picture and sound cut off.

My baby was still there, and that was something no one or thing could take from me.

I finished wiping the gel off of my stomach, and quickly wiped my tears off.

Getting off the laid down chair, I walked back upstairs.

I was happy, happier than I had been since I first arrived here with all of the others.

No one would take that away from me.

NOTHING would take away my baby, not even me.
