The man who Kirk and McCoy both referred to as Khan stood completely still at length away from his Captain. The only movement coming from his body being to observe his surroundings.
"You sent for me... Captain." The man stated rather than questioned in a dry ice tone, almost as if it repelled him to address Kirk as "Captain".The Captain moved closer towards the man, closing the space between them in an attempt to show his authority. "Yes I did," The Captain paused turning to search the Medical Bay for his Cheif Medical Examiner before reverting his attention back to Khan. "Doctor McCoy believes you could be of help with a certain situation. I myself am not so sure- "
"But you are willing to take the chance? I mean why else would I be here?" Khan cut the Captain off.
"Yes." The Captain responded briskly.
"You must truly be desperate to ask me, of all people, for help." Khan replied.
Only just realising that Khan had arrived, Doctor McCoy made his way to Kirks side.
"Lieutenant Harrison-" the Doctor began before also being cut off by Khan."Doctor, we both know you are aware of my true identity therefore why do you continue to address me by a name that does not belong to me."
"You are, under Starfleet regulations working aboard the USS Enterprise as John Harrison, a reinstated Lieutenant and that is what you will be addressed and referred to as." Captain Kirk recited, quite clearly getting agitated. "Do you understand?"
Harrison nodded slighty in response to the Captains question.
"Now if you both are finished quarrelling, I recommend that we get started." McCoy spoke, breaking the silence between Kirk and Lieutenant Harrison.
Following the Doctor and the Captain, Khan made his way to the bedside of an unconscious girl. He recognised her but made sure to show no signs that he did.
"Since the attack on the Enterprise two days ago, this girl has been unconscious. There is no internal damage to her brain or body, no visible injuries except for a few scratches and there is a minimal amount of bruising. She hit her head pretty hard but er brain activity is standard yet she remains unresponsive. No stimulants will wake her. Now I've seen a lot in my time as a Doctor but this", Doctor McCoy gestured to Jane's body, "I can't explain."
The Captain remained silent, taking a seat in the chair beside Jane's medical bed.
"And is it my blood you want Doctor?" Lieutenant Harrison inquired. "Do you wish to waken, her by injecting my blood into her system ,as you did with your Captain?"
"No no blood, not a chance." Kirk jumped out of the seat he had only just sat on.
"Jim, It might be the only way to wake her." McCoy turned his back on Harrison to talk to Kirk.
"I don't give a damn! His blood is to go nowhere near her." Kirk demanded. Doctor McCoy knew that The Captain's argument was final and that he would not be persuaded otherwise.
"And thats your decision to make Captain?" Khan drawled.
"Damn right it is. She is my sister!" Kirk shouted turning round to face Harrison once again.
Harrison spoke staring Kirk in the face. "Well then what exactly is it you want me to do? Giving her my blood would wake her but you wont allow it. You have tried every other stimulant and they have failed to wake her. So tell me Captain what would you like me to do?" He spoke rapidly yet every word was clear.
"I told you this was a lost case Bones!" Kirk punched his fists into the table next to Janes bedside, who was still unconscious in the medical bed.
