"Spock, what the hell is going on?" The Captain asked, holding Jane's head, who remained unconscious.
"Captain, it seem as though we were attacked by an unmarked ship. When it first collided with our ship after coming out of warp, it scanned our systems then fired at us for less than 10 seconds before returning to warp. There is minimum damage to the hull but I can see that there may be casualties." Spock indicated at Jane.
"Put our shields up to maximum incase they decide to pay us a second visit. We cant take another hit like that, even with minimal damage were at a disadvantage." Kirk commanded. "God dammit wheres Bones!"
"Right here." Doctor McCoy appeared behind Spock. "Jim are you hurt?"
"No its Jane, I think she hit her head pretty hard, shes been unconscious since we were hit." Kirk told him.
McCoy went still. He looked down at Jane's limp body lying in her brothers arms, his throat dried up.
"Bones!" Kirk shouted, dragging McCoy back from his shocked daze.
"Right, well she most likely has a concussion." The Doctor diagnosed, still slightly uneasy. "If you can carry her to the Med Bay I can treat her properly there."
"Spock, report to the bridge. Insure all repairs are underway and let Starfleet headquarters know what just happened. They may be able to shed some light on what or who it was that attacked us." The Captain ordered.
"Yes Captain." Spock replied.
As Kirk rose to his feet with Jane in his arms Spock left the room to return to the bridge.

"She still hasn't woke up, but her breathing and heart rate is fine." McCoy told The Captain. "Its as though her body has been induced into a coma."
It had been 3 days since the Enterprise was attacked by an unknown ship and Jane Kirk still hadn't woke since she had been knocked unconscious that day.
"Bones your not telling me that my sister is in a coma?" Kirk took a step back from Janes bedside.
"No, her body brain activity is fine therefore meaning she isn't in a coma, it just seems as if she is. I cant understand why she wont wake." McCoy replied.
Well Is there anyone on this ship who does! Or can explain what is wrong with her?" The Captain asked his Chief Medical Officer, getting frustrated.
"Jim I'm trying everything I can to help her." The Doctor replied.
"Bones I'm sorry, I didn't mean that." James apologised. "I'm just... Im worried. Shes my little sister, It will ruin me if anything happens to her."
"I know." The Doctor replied. "Not even Spock with all his hob goblin intellect can make sense of this. No one can! Unless..." the Doctor trailed off.
"What? Unless what?" James inquired, "Talk to me Bones!"
"Your not going like what I'm about to suggest Jim..." The Doctor replied.
"Right now I don't give a damn. All I care about is my little sister who is currently lying unconscious." James responded, standing over Jane's body. "So if you think you have an idea how to or know of someone who might please tell me, now."
Doctor McCoy sighed and looked around to make sure no one was listening before speaking. "Khan."
