It's Gotta Be You

We were all pretty excited to arrive in Idaho, because instead of staying at another hotel, we would be staying at a lodge that was right next to a beautiful lake.

We'd be here for two and a half days, before we leave to to the next spot. 

This time we drew straws to see who would be where, because there were only three beds and a pull-out couch. So far Hayden and Harry were sharing the room with two queens, with Niall and Zayn. 

Louis and I were sharing in the other bedroom, with the bigger bathroom, while Liam got stuck with the couch. 

We all walked in after getting checked in, ready to get changed and relax. 

Hayden, Zayn, and Harry insisted on hanging outside. So we were all going to get changed into bathing suits, since there was a hot tub out on the patio deck. 

I was going through my suitcase, trying to find my new bathing suit, after Hayden and I had recently gotten new swimsuits. 

"Hey, Gracie, what's this?" Louis asked, sitting on my bed with a piece of paper.

"What's what?"

"I still love you?"

My eyes widened and I quickly snatched it from his hands "What are you doing going through my things?"

"I wasn't; it fell out of your song book when you moved your suitcase up here"

"Oh"

"Is this the song you were working on?"

I sunk down into the bed, nodding.

"Do either one of them know you feel this way?"

"No, but they're going to"

"What do you mean?" he asked, sitting beside me.

"Darren wants me to sing it during our last show"

"Do you want to?"

"No, but he was so happy about the song and he's getting it cleared by Simon; it's happening"

"Maybe you should just tell Liam and Niall"

"No, they are finally becoming friends again; I can't ruin that"

"But what do you want?"

"I want to figure my feelings out. I know I'm not dating either one of them, but it feels like I'm betraying both of them"

"Gracie, I know it's tough, but no matter who you choose or even if you choose, I'm still here for you"

I put my head on his shoulder "I just feel so guilty"

"I know"

"Promise me that you won't tell anyone about the song, please?"

He hesitated, but nodded.

After Louis left, I went to change into my bathing suit and almost immediately regretted it.  The bathing suit was cute and in my size, plus we were in a hurry, so I just bought it without trying it on. 

It was a one-piece with cut outs and a cute design along the neckline, but it pushed my boobs up and made them look bigger than they actually were.

It's not like I've never worn tight clothing before, but I just couldn't stop staring at my boobs, but I was also wondering why none of my bras had ever made them look this good. 

After letting it sit with me for awhile, I smiled and chuckled at the situation. I pulled my hair down and let it frame my chest, pleased with the outcome. If I was going to look like this,I was going to make the most of it, so I grabbed my frameless, heart-shaped red sunglasses and applied some black lipstick.

"Hey guys" I said, walking out onto the patio.

Liam and Louis turned and their eyes immediately went to my chest, making me shake my head at how noticeable this actually was.

"Liam, you alright?" Louis asked, patting him on the back.

"Yeah, just gonna go sit down"

Louis walked over to me "Looks like that little number is causing some lower pain for Liam"

I playfully his chest "You're terrible" I walked over to the patio railing and leaned against it, looking out at the lake.

A wet hand tapped me on the shoulder and I turned to see Niall "Can we talk?"

I nodded and walked to the far side of the deck "Yes?"

"I just, I'm so, so sorry about what happened the other night. I honestly don't know what came over me, but these past few days I've missed spending time with you; I just miss you in general"

I was missing him too.

"I just wish that I could take it back. I mean, sure I'd love to do that with you, but it wasn't considerate of me to just let my wants take control like that"

What was I supposed to say? Half of me wanted to forgive him and the other half wanted to be kissing him already.

"So I just want to know if you'd be able to forgive me; we can go back to everything like nothing happened"

I softly nodded and he grinned.

"Really?"

"Yes"

He pulled me into a big hug and I couldn't help but hug back, but immediately saw that Liam and Zayn were watching.

Niall pulled away and kissed me unexpectedly. Sure, I enjoyed it, but I just didn't feel comfortable with Liam right there in front of me.

I pulled away and saw Liam whisper something to Zayn, while keeping his eyes on me.

My phone rang and I went to answer it, happy for any distraction.

"Gracie, how's it going?" Darren asked, sounding exhausted.

"It's fine, what about you?"

"Well, I just wanted to let you know that you album will be finished by the morning. I'm spending the remainder of the day finishing all the mixes for each song and making sure it's perfect for release"

"Are you serious!"

He laughed "Management is already working on a bunch of promotion. You're going to have a photoshoot done for the album art, as well as for promotional images, I'll be calling you later so we can settle on the official track list, as well as the name of the album"

"This is amazing!" I said, unable to stop smiling. 

"What happens after this?"

He laughed "We'll release your music video, and the album will probably follow at least a month after"

"Darren, I can't believe this is all happening like this!"

"Just get ready for one hell of a year" he said, laughing "I gotta get back to working on the album, but I'll call you when it's all officially done"

After he hung up, I ran up to the others "My record will be officially done by morning!"

"Gracie Gray, that's great!" Louis said, hugging me and spinning me around.

Everyone was congratulating me, while I was suddenly at a loss for words. It was all happening so fast and it was becoming more real. 

Niall gave me another kiss, before grinning at me. I smiled back, even though I felt eyes on me.

Liam was smiling at me, looking both proud and hurt. 

Despite the good news, I had fallen back on earth and was back to where I started.
