I woke up and looked at my phone. It was officially Halloween, which meant it was also my nineteenth birthday.
I sat up and went through my phone, finding a text from Jayme, wishing me a happy birthday. I missed her so much.
I went into the bathroom to take long, much appreciated shower. My goal was to look really nice today, even though my birthday wouldn't be celebrated.
As much as I didn't want to celebrate my birthday, I still wanted to celebrate Halloween. It's my favorite holiday, and I wanted nothing more than for my parents to just back off today.
I got dressed in a cute spooky themed dress and did my makeup, making sure to wear black lipstick, since my mom loved it so much.
I added some knee high socks and some heeled Mary Jane's to complete the look.
I went downstairs to find everyone around the kitchen island, talking.
"I'm off to work" my dad said, walking out the door.
My mom gave Robbie a tight hug "Don't be late for school" she looked over at me "Gracie, I do wish you'd at least put some effort in your appearance"
"Yeah, good morning to you too, mom" I said, walking up to the boys and Hayden.
"Goodbye, Gracie" she said, rolling her eyes as she left.
"Morning, Grace. How are you?" Robbie asked.
"Why are you being nice?"
"I can't be nice?"
"Not without a reason"
He shook his head "It's your birthday, I kinda have to be nice"
I was both happy and mad that someone remembered.
"It's your birthday?" Harry asked.
"And you didn't tell us?" Louis commented.
I sighed "Yes, but only because I'm so worried of my parents making a mess of it"
"It's true, she hasn't let them throw her a birthday party since she was twelve" Robbie commented.
"Don't you have school to go to?"
He shook his head "Nah, I'm blowing it off today"
"You know what this means right?" Zayn asked.
"What?" I asked, pouring myself a glass of orange juice.
"We are throwing you a part" Louis said, grinning.
"Not happening"
"And why not?"
"Because as far as I'm concerned, today is not my birthday"
Robbie scoffed "Lighten up" he took out his wallet "Use the credit card that mom and dad gave me; get whatever you want"
I looked at the credit car and shook my head as he walked upstairs "Fine"
"Yes" Niall said, smiling.
Liam walked up to me "What will make this the best birthday party?"
"Make it scream Halloween"
"You got it" he smiled "Love the outfit by the way. Spooky looks good on you"
