I reached for the door, but Bradley stopped me, while Liam continued standing outside the door.
"That song will be great on the radio, and with you and Shay dating" he grinned "It's going to be a massive hit, especially since you two have great chemistry"
"Bradley"
"When you two go out for dinner, I can arrange for paparazzi to be there"
Shay walked over, placing his hand around my waist "Don't harass the girl, Bradley"
I slowly looked over to Liam, who looked livid as he walked down the hallway.
"Can you just excuse me for a moment?" I quickly ran down the hallway, trying to catch up with him "Liam!"
"You must have put quite the spell on Niall, because he was convinced that you and I should finally be together" he shook his head "I played along too, but it looks like you've already found a new heart to shred"
"Liam, would you just listen to me"
He got close to me "How long did it take you before you moved on to someone new, a week, a day" he scoffed "It probably only took a few hours. Real classy, Gracie"
My eyes filled with tears "Why are you acting like this?"
"Because I got my hopes up, but now I'm starting to wonder if you did all this just to get back at me for cheating on you" he glared at me "Congratulations, you broke my heart"
"You don't even understand"
"I don't have to understand shit!"
"Liam, I want to be with you" I said, my voice shaking.
He shook his head "No, I'm not going to do this anymore. Go back to the new love of your life, since you have no one else to pick through"
"Liam!"
He turned around "I was actually worried about you, but you're all smiles in there with Shay's arm around your waist" he frowned "It's all about the fame isn't it? You got publicity off of us and now you're prancing around for the paparazzi"
I grabbed his arm "Would you please just listen to me?"
"Good luck with your career, Gracie. It's all you have now" he said, pulling his arm away.
"Please, just listen. I am begging you" I said, crying and shaking from how intense this whole thing was getting.
"I've done nothing but listen, so no. Not this time. I want nothing to do with you. We are offically done" he glared down at me "You proved me wrong, just like I proved you wrong"
"What do you mean?"
"I said I could never hate you, but I was clearly wrong"
I watched him leave the building and I stood there, unable to process what had just happened.
Losing Liam the first time hurt like hell, but there was no way to describe the pain I was feeling right now.
I leaned against the wall, feeling like I was going to collapse as I continued hyperventilating. How did this even happen?
Moments passed as I tried to gather myself before walking back into the studio.
Liam was right, my career was all I had left. That meant I had to do everything to make it better, and pleasing management would do just that.
Sure, Liam would think I was actually dating Shay, but he never even let me explain. If he had just listened he would realize how big of an ass he had just made himself out to be.
I had no intentions of being with Shay, because I wanted Liam. That's been shattered though, so there was only one thing left to do.
As I entered the studio, Darren gave me a look of concern.
I walked up to Bradley "I'll date Shay for as long as you want me to. I don't have any other commitments to anyone anymore"
"Now that is what I like to hear!"
All that mattered was that my career stayed above water, so I would do what management wanted.
Anything.
The sequel is up on my page.
It is called 'Can We Fall One More Time"
