Holy Sunday With a Little Bit of Sin

After church I met up with Noel as we had planned. Seth, Heather, and Bianca joined us as well. They said the rest of them had apparently already made plans without them four, so they could make it. They didn't say what, but I'd learned by now it wasn't any of my business, so I'd just keep my mouth shut.

We enjoyed a nice lunch and then Seth and Heather left saying they had some homework that they had to do and needed to go get that done. I was a little skeptical because of the way it happened, but again I kept my mouth shut.

"So, what's up next on the list to do?" Noel asked Bianca and I.

"Well, I have some things I need to do, so I guess it's best that I leave you two on your own." Bianca answered really quickly and without another word was off to her car and driving away.

"Do they not like me or something?" I asked.

"Don't go assuming things Promise. Just accept it and move on. Don't try to analyze people and their actions too much. Okay? Now let's go do something fun. We don't need them. We can have more fun on our own."

Noel pulled me outside and toward my car. It was then that I realized there was something going up. They didn't seem to have any problem leaving Noel on her own and find her own way back, or at least assuming that I would have no problem taking her.

We got into the car and then sat there. I didn't know what to do and Noel seemed quiet as if she were waiting for me to make a move.

"Ok Promise. You really need to pull your shit together. You need to quick being so indecisive and make a damn decision for once. Now turn the car on and drive us somewhere and then we'll do something. Okay? I'm tired of making every decision for us."

I sighed. I truly didn't know what to do. I'd never actually had a friend before to know what to do.

I reluctantly turned the car on. I didn't desire to hear her telling me off like that again so I decided I best pull myself together and just drive us somewhere. But where?

I pulled out onto the main road and just drove. I had no idea where I was going, but I was hoping that eventually we'd run into something that looked like it could be fun.

That's when I saw something and quickly got over into the right lane and turned into the parking lot of a rock climbing place. I'd been rock climbing a few times before with my family when I was younger and it always was fun so I was hoping that would still ring true.

I shifted my car into reverse and backed into a parking spot as I had come so accustomed to do when possible. I'd unfortuantely been followed into the parking lot at the restaurant at lunch and not been able to do so, but I could now and I planned on taking advantage of it.

"See Promise. All you need is a kick in the ass and you can do pretty damn good. Now let's go have fun and forget about all of our problems. Homework and other things can wait. Right now is our time to let loose and have some fun. So let's go."

I tried letting go the best I could and it worked pretty well. And it was quite fun if I didn't say so myself. It was relaxing and I felt my stress melting away. I was going to have to try rock climbing more often.

After rock climbing Noel told me she had a lot of homework to do so she asked me to drop her off back at the school so she could pick up her stuff and then go back with me and "invade my dorm room" as we did homework together. It actually sounded fun so I agreed.

We got back to my dorm room and actually got a good amount of homework done the first hour. After that, however, not so much really got done. But it sure was fun.

"Ok that's enough of that shit. I am so tired. Of homework that is." Noel laughed at herself.

"Yeah, I can agree with you there. I'm so glad I just finished everything that's due tomorrow."
