Day: Wednesday (12th of September)
( Jessie's POV )
A loud noise broke the silence, and with that my great nap. I got up, groaning loudly. As if I wasn't too tired already. I looked at the alarm clock and wondered how to get it to stop. I quickly switched on the lights and looked for the button. When the alarm clock was silenced I opened my closet to put on a clean uniform. I did some last things before walking out of the room to the breakfast table.
It was like a hotel. An all-you-can-eat buffet was prepared for us, and it looked delicious. Way better, and more, than I could ever get with my little money. There were two long tables, split up by the two different training groups. But the trainers themselves didn't seem to be around.
I sat down next to Cassidy, and started eating my food, while Cassidy was in a conversation with a guy I couldn't remember the name of.
"A gun is so much better to use in battle."Cassidy said to the guy. "It's fast, the bullet goes deep, you don't need to pick an entirely new gun if you miss, and it hurts more."
"It's harder to miss with a knife, and the chances of people noticing you're hiding a weapon is smaller."the guy replied with an arrogant smile on his face. I felt how it was getting a bit colder from the moment I realised they were talking about weapons. Images immediately came in my mind, and I had to do my best to shake them off again.
"What are you talking about?!"Cassidy argued. "You've got guns smaller than your average knife! Take the Kahr Arms P380. Its length is 4.9 inches, and it's 3.9 inches in terms of height. And the Kel-Tec P3AT. It has a length of 5.2 inches, but its height is 3.5 inches! In what way is a knife better?"
"And what if you're close? What if you're out of bullets? A knife doesn't have those problems, does it?"
"No, but if you've thrown your knife, you won't get it back..." How did they know so much about weapons? It wasn't exactly your average lesson in school. 'Oh, hey students. Today I'll tell you about what kind of guns there are.' And I didn't exactly see Team Rocket as a place where they'd give you elucidation on stuff. It seemed more like the place where they'd just put the gun in your hand. And that was good, because I'd rather just do instead of think.
"A knife is so much easier to utilize than any gun."
"That's so, if you haven't practiced with a gun. A gun will always be deadlier than a knife."
"What if there are obstacles?"
"Not even a knife will get through those obstacles."Cassidy said. A sly smile appeared on her face. "You don't know what to say back, do you, Dylan?" The guy looked annoyed at Cassidy.
"Of course I know what to say back."Dylan defended himself. "Though I hope you realize that you're getting on my nerves, Cas." Cassidy smirked at Dylan. "No one can see you prepare when with a knife, if you're doing it well. Though a gun has to be loaded before the attack. So you will always have to get out a gun before you assault, while a knife can be taken out during the violation."
Cassidy nodded. "But when you have a knife against a gun, who would you expect to lay on the ground dead?" My eyes widened a bit.
"The person holding the knife."I mumbled mildly. Both Dylan and Cassidy turned their heads to me. I looked back a bit nervous. "What? I'm just saying what I think is the answer. Unless you have a very good reason the person with the knife has a chance, I have learned guns will always overpower knives." Dylan sighed, while Cassidy got back her arrogant smirk.
"The man with a knife has a higher chance of coming out alive."Dylan said, confident on proving a point. I rolled my eyes. "Not only are they deadlier, they're also faster, and that means you can kill the person with the gun before they could even pull the trigger."
