"I will fight until my last breath. I will protect those close to me. And those who need me I will fight for them. The devil can take my soul and tear at my flesh, but I will just grin until he snaps my neck."
-Gold DiamondclawMountains. Late morning.
Dante woke up panting.
Sweat dripped down his forehead and pooled on the stone floor. He could hear Jeffory and Jackson arguing viciously.
"I saw your kid hugging my daughter in bed! What you got to say Goldheart?"
"My son's actions are his and his alone. I have no control over his actions! And if he has fallen for your daughter and she's accepted him then I am more glad then worried!" Jeffory denied as Jackson had a tight vice like grip around his neck.
Dang coughed to get their attention as well as check that he was breathing.
Jeffory and Jackson looked at him in surprise. Dante looked around to assure himself that he was not sitting in a pool of lava and was sitting in the cold cave that he had finally got used to.
"You alright kid? You look shaken up." Jackson asked, sharpening his knives with a uncanny coldness in his voice.
"Yeah. Yeah. Just a nightmare." Dante denied, combing his hand through his blue hair. Jeffory looked dissatisfied with his answer.
"Dante. You're clearly lying your a$$ off. Tell me the truth."
"Alright! I...I saw my brother Gene, or at least from his point of view. He was bound in chains and was being forced off a fortress of some kind. He had a sword protruding out from his back and a man in a weird looking hat and coat was forcing him over the edge with his katana."Jeffory looked over to Jackson with a worried look. He mouthed out one word.
Nihil.
Jackson nodded, a nervous look on his face. Dante didn't understand what the two of them were talking about, though he clearly understood that the name held some meaning to the both of them.
"We need to get off this island." Jeffory muttered, Jacksom looked at him in shock.
"We're meant to be dead! We can't simply go back! We died, died!" Jackson shouted, waking up a woman with blonde hair and amber eyes at the very back of the cavern.
"Jackson...what did you say?" The woman asked, rubbing her eyes.
"Angela. Go back to sleep." Jackson said, walking over to her and stroking his hand through her hair.
"No. I want to see our daughter face to face. Let her know that we still love her, even after what happened that day." Angela stood up, stretching her arms and extending her wings. Jeffory laughed, spinning his glaive in his hand. You could hear all the other slumbering ghosts slowly waking up and agreeing to Jeffory's slightly robust idea. Heron chuckled, liking his older brother's idea. Legendos smiled, knowing this is how most of the Destrey ideas happened; through speeches and overwhelming confidence in one's path. Janus only raised his water skin in his way to vote. Another woman with dark brown hair which was tied into a pony tail had put her thumbs up in her vote. A young teenage boy with bright yellow eyes was stroking a small white dragon that was crouched on his shoulder, he had a large gladius strapped to his leg. "Abyss you in?" (@Son_of_hestia974)
The teenager nodded. "Yeah. Of course." Abyss replied. There was a howl of wind as a large grey werewolf with bright blue eyes walked into the cave, quickly transforming into a man with black hair and a green right eye and a grey left eye.
"Harold! What's up?" Jeffory asked.
"Saw a whole group of those survivors coming this way. By my guess they'll be here within the hour." Harold replied, as he took a heavy swig of his water skin.
"Well. Isn't that convenient." Tulis commented, leaning on his executioner's blade. His expression undistinguishable underneath his silver helmet. Jeffory nodded, not realising that Tulis was being incredibly sarcastic.
"Well what are we waiting for? Let's get packing people."Forest path. Early afternoon. Fallen Angels, Jury of wolves and MCD crew
Gold led the way towards the wrecked ship. The leaders had finally decided that they could go back to the grey shores to attempt to find something that might be of some value. Galbraith and Gold couldn't look each other in the eyes, attempting to avoid direct eye contact with each other. Liochant could obviously see the nervousness in his two elders' eyes, though he decided to not bring it up. The forest path was deathly quiet, all the leaves had fallen off the trees long ago leaving only the skeletal branches of the grey trees. No plant grew, none could in the loosen dirt or the brown sludgy water that pooled in the lower parts of the forest. Everyone looked knackered, many of them had mud and sweat clinging onto their faces. Some of them had fresh cuts and bruises on their bodies, many had bags underneath their eyes and were bent double as they trudged through the foggy ground. The mist obscured much of their vision meaning that Steven and Gold were waving their flares in front of them in an attempt to get any vision. Gold clicked his tongue in an attempt to mimic echolocation to try to find his way down the path. Abby was attempting to use her sharp senses in an attempt to find their way through the thick fog. Galbraith had lit his hand in his familiar dark green fire, casting a dark green glow all over the area. Jade held out one of her white glowing arrows, lighting the area around them; burning some of the fog away. Gold walked right next to Jade and placed a peck on top of her head, causing her to blush and giving him a peck underneath his chin; promptly causing him to blush instead. He put his arm around her waist, pulling her close to his body.
"Don't get too excited now. We don't need a mini dragon slayer running round the camp just yet." Galbraith groaned, causing the couple to blush wildly. Tyrant just scoffed at the idea, though deep inside he knew Galbraith was most likely correct. Steven burst out laughing, almost choking on his own saliva in the process; and almost dropping his lightning flare in the process. Though their tomfoolery meant that they didn't see the fairly obvious tripwire in front of them. Galbraith stepped onto the steel wire, tripping it and firing a rigged shotgun point blank in the chest. A sharp bang echoed as Gold was shot in the shoulder, though it thudded through. Gold cried out in surprise as a man leapt out, a long blade strapped to each of his arms. He slashed Gold across the chest, one of the blades thudding into Gold's side the other cutting across his chest. Steven cried out in surprise as a man with brown hair and bright yellow eyes launched out from the mist, a flaming gladius in hand; the two of them clashed. Steven's body was covered with flickering lightning while the man's body was covered in a white fire. The two of them clashed violently, swords clashing and both of them roaring out their battle cries.
