"If you threaten them, I will not run. I will fight, cause I'm not losing another sibling."
- Huston Everest

"Sometimes you have to burn down bridges in order to build them."
- Libertas Caster

Damon swallowed down the nervousness that threatened to cause him to throw up, he could taste bile in his mouth. He felt horribly exposed and vulnerable with a crossbow bolt pointed at his head. He lifted the amulet of Protis that was hung around his neck and dangled it a bit so that she could see. "Champion of Protis madam, I can heal and it seems like," He looked over the male elf who was cradling and shielding the other elf in his arms, "You need a healer right about now." He said with a nudge over at the two of the elves. She simply pressed the hand crossbow against his head further, a sign of paranoia that he had dealt with others in the past. "How do I know you're not going to stab us in the back, huh?" She demanded, shooting a demon in the face with her other hand crossbow while doing so with no need to look behind her to get them dead in the forehead. He sighed, knowing that this wasn't going to go well for him if he didn't work with her.
"Alexa! Let him do it! If he can heal her, I'll take that chance!" The dark elf shouted at her.
"Not risking it, Kael!" She shouted back at the elf, still pressing the bolt against the back of his head.
"To save Ethain, the love of my life, anything!" The dark elf shouted back. The desperate anger of a lover clear in his voice and his face.
Finally she relented, with a growl of anger, pulling the hand crossbow off the back of his head. "Fine. Hurt them and you're dead." She threatened, firing another crossbow bolt into the chest of another demon to prove her point. Damon nodded and dashed over to their side. Dodging and cleaving demons into half with his axe.
Kael sheltered Ethain using his body, clearly, she was still in incredible pain as she could barely speak from the pain that wracked her body like a malevolent disease. Kael fired violet bolts of lightning from his staff, the air around it sizzling and popping like the air during a storm. The smell of burnt ozone filled the air at an alarming rate kind of draining them of breathable air. Yondu ran up to them, taking a shot at the demon that was about to pounce on them and blasting its head off with ease. Kael nodded his thanks, realising he was an elf, he thanked him in elven.
'Thank you, my friend. Who are you?' He asked in elven.
Yondu's head tilted his head slightly in surprise at hearing elven come from someone other than the elders who had come to scowl him about his line of work. "A wood elf exile of Yggdrasil, my friend." He replied back in elven in a kinda slurred way.
'I'm Kael, a dark elf wizard.' Kael replied, holding his hand out for Yondu to shake.
'Yondu, a bounty hunter,' Yondu replied, shaking Kael's hand before he suddenly pushed the wizard down. The wizard let out an undignified squawk of surprise before Yondu drew out his sidearm and fired at a demon that was going to pounce at them. The demon's head fell back, black blood trickling from a clear hole in the forehead. 'Thank me later, Here's Damon.' Yondu replied as he saw the brass Dragonborn sprinted towards them.
Damon quickly street slide underneath a swipe from a demon and lopping off the clawed red arm in the same movement. He got back up almost immediately and kneeled next to the three of them. He rubbed his clawed hands together, a golden almost holy glow could be seen emanating from in between his claws. His brass scales seemed to rattle together like a shifting pile of bronze coins. He immediately started to mutter words in a ragtag mixture of draconian and celestial that seemed to merge together in an odd yet comforting melody. Immediately his magic took to work; golden glittering etherial lines, that seemed to run like the gentle mountain streams, flowed into her wounds and slowly but surely heal her wounds. She winced at first but soon the warm sensation of it made her relax. Kael only held her close, whispering in elven to comfort her further while squeezing her hand gently. In mere minutes, her wounds had faded into faint scaring as Damon pulled away and dusted his claws. "She'll live," Damon replied before he turned back to the battlefield and charged into the combat once again. Kael turned to Yondu in surprise.
'He doesn't want thanks?' Kael asked in elven, taken by surprise at Damon's selfless action.
Yondu just shrugged at the action. 'Damon's like that. Comes with being a paladin of Protis.' He replied back in elven with a slight grin on his face.
