"Shame upon you Nihil! You cannot see the wrongs of your ways! I would have been sympathetic towards you if you hadn't sought out the darker powers!"
- Cerberus, the Jackal knight

"Vini, Vidi, Vici. I came, I saw, I conquered."
- Nihil Umbra

Within the legion's halls

Libertas was taking a small snuff out of his cigar, reading his various messages. Worry was evident in his eyes but much to his displeasure, he had neglected his role as the leader of the Dragon Legion and had to continue as if he had not lost his son, his nephews and his niece. He kept scrolling through his messages, most of them were weekly reports and requests that he could deal with later. He looked over his desk for a second, only to see the gold drake Amburus at his feet. More of a puppy dog than a dragon in terms of personality, the drake curiously cocked his head to the side; clearly wanting to play rather than wait for the old demigod to finish his duties. How Gold even found the young drake was anyone's shot in the dark though Libertas could care less about what his adopted nephew did in his spare time. He gave the drake a slightly disapproving look with a hint of tiredness in his expression.
"What do you want?" Libertas asked, clearly tired. His jagged voice quickly slipping into the harsh language of draconic.
Amburus let out an excited yap, jumping onto all fours with his scaled tail wagging like an excited dog. Though Libertas was sure that Amburus understood what he had asked, he was unsure if he could reply back in Draconic. Libertas just sighed as he rolled his eyes and went back to reading his reports. He had been so concentrated on his work he almost missed the small chirping of a tiny light green wyvern, barely bigger than one's forearm, that had perched itself on his open windowsill.
"Hey! Hey!" The wyvern squealed in Draconic. Libertas turned in surprise to face it. "You master Dragon Knight?"
The mercenary leader nodded. "Mhm. I very much am. What do you want?" He asked in Draconic.
"Great! Master Ryse wanted me to give you this." The wyvern tugged at the leather harness that was wrapped around its chest. Libertas just sighed and picked up the small wyvern and placed the small thing on his desk. The leather harness was tied through small leather straps with a small capped hollow cylinder fastened on its small back. Libertas quickly undid the harness and unscrewed the capped cylinder, much to his expectation there was a small tightly rolled up piece of parchment inside. He quickly pulled it out and read it, quietly muttering underneath his breath as he read it. He looked out of the window to hear thunder rumbling and forks of lightning dancing in the air. He clenched his teeth for a second, knowing what this meant before he closed the window with a loud *THUD!* It was enough to startle his demon advisor. Who had been sleeping on the worn brown leather couch on the right side of his office.
"Cuthullu! Did you have to slam the window?" Vulcan asked angrily as he sat up on his couch.
"Vulcan...I must ask you something..." Libertas asked, not looking back at Vulcan but kept his eyes on the coming thunderstorm. His armoured hands planted on the windowsill.
"Mhm. What you need old man?" Vulcan asked, summoning his fiery spear. His obsidian-like skin was cracked, showing what seemed to be bubbling lava underneath his darkened skin. His eyes glowed like lava, where the black slit for his pupil should have been was instead a fiery shade of orange, the whites of his eyes instead a pale yellow colour and he didn't seem to have irises like most demons should. He wore what seemed to be Gaul armour, which is another way of saying not much armour or clothes for that matter. He wore a tattered loincloth that barely clung onto his molten hardened skin and barely covered his glory. His face was more reptilian than human as teeth protruded from both the top jaw and lower jaw with what seemed to be bony horns crowning his head.
