Chapter 23

"he's erasing there memory of him??? That just doesn't??? Ahh"

"I have an idea"

I suddenly hear

"Ok what?!"

"We have to get rid of him without him know cuz if he knows then he'll erase our memories and if he does that then this whole process starts over again... we can't let that happen.you hear me!?"

"Yes, I hear you"

I was scared and concerned.

"What if this doesn't work??!!"
I kept telling myself

"What if we get hurt?."

The next day I tried my best to avoid Miles but I came to realize that he wasn't even at school.

"We're could he have gone?"

I was worried but wasn't really because he was using me but I still wanted to know

"Excuse me Emily Tellensen?"

Someone tapped on my shoulder

"Your needed in the principal's office, he wants to ask you some questions"

"Umm ok."

I walked into his dime office and sat down in front of his desk and looked around

"Miss Tellensen" he said still not looking at me

"I have a few questions to ask you"
He said as he turned in his chair to look at me

"I heard you knew Miles?"

"Yes....we we're close friends"

"Did you know he has disappeared?"

"Uhhh well sort of yeah"

"What do you mean sort of"
He had a serious look on his face

"I mean I hadn't really seen him over the weekend so I didn't know what happened but I kinda guessed, when he wasn't at school this morning"

Still with a serious look he stood up out of his chair and came over to me
"Emily,....thank you for coming in, you may leave"

Thankfully I nodded and left the room.

When I walked out, I passed Mindy when she noticed me she stopped and I turned around in confusion

"Why were you in the principal's office!?"
She was clearly concerned

"He wanted to ask me some questions"

"About what!??"

"The desappearance of 'Miles'"
I said sounding sarcastic

"Oh, you didn't tell him anything right!?"

"Noo!!!!"

"Ok just making sure"

we went our separate ways to get to our class on time; when I walked into the math room, my teacher was talking, and when I sat down I realized that he was talking about Miles,  but no one really knew or cared that we we're a thing but the few people who did thought I murdered him.

"I hate how they keep talking about!"
I told my mom anxiously

"Well do you know what happened to him?"
She asked softly

I put my hands on my face then slowly pulled them down

"Mom this is killing me! My 'ex' boyfriend has now randomly disappeared apparently!? My best friend, that I don't know is either dead or alive and right now I am freaking out and to be honest I have every. right.!

After I finished she looked at me and said
"Ex???!!! Boyfriend!!!???"

"Oh mom"

I walked away and ran to my room in anger and confusion

"Why is this happening to me?! All that I ever thought was real isn't anymore! I am so confused!"

I sat there lying on my bed in despair knowing I had to figure this out! I had too. My life depended on it.
