Dear Albus,
I am very sorry to hear about Draco's mental health. He was always a good person deep down, even when I was your age. Aunt Hermione and I are very sad about this news.
On the brighter side of things, Scorpius is welcome to stay with us over Christmas break. I am very happy that you are concerned for your friend and want the best for him. I would invite Draco for Christmas dinner, but I don't reckon Scorpius would like that much, would he?
I am sure Lily will be just fine with our new visitor, but James might be a bit... shocked, to say the least. I will owl him to let him know, so be prepared for an angry rant in the near future. I've sent an owl to Draco, and he's fine with everything.
I would hate for Scorpius to feel out of place, please let him know he is more than welcome! He will certainly be given gifts and the like.
Have a grand rest of the next few weeks, Albus. Remember to study hard for your upcoming exams! I love you!
Sincerely,
Dad
Albus read the letter at breakfast while spooning blueberry and nutmeg oatmeal into his mouth.
"Scorp?" he asked, wiping his lips.
"Mhm?" Scorpius replied, his mouth stuffed with toast.
"Dad invited you over for Christmas. If you want to come." Albus said.
Scorpius's face was almost completely taken up by a smile.
"Really?" he asked a little breathlessly.
"Yeah."
Scorpius wrapped Albus in the tightest hug imaginable. He whispered thank you, thank you, thank you, over and over in Albus's ear. Albus hugged him back with absolutely no intention of ever letting go.
Exams were finally over. The Hogwarts Express was to leave on Saturday morning. Scorpius was excited beyond belief about going to Albus's house for Christmas.
"ALBUS!" he heard on Saturday morning.
"Wha-- what?" said Albus sleepily as he emerged from his cocoon of dark green blankets.
"IT"S SATURDAY MORNING!"
"Yeah, very early on Saturday morning."
"BUT IT'S STILL SATURDAY MORNING! THE TRAIN LEAVES TODAY!"
Albus laughed and stretched his arms. Scorpius's pale blond hair stuck out greatly in the green and silver room. Scorpius giggled and scurried to continue packing. Albus sighed and stood up, scratching the top of his head.
Scorpius looked on at Albus. His hair was a downright mess, but it suited him quite well. His eyes were like glistening green gemstones. His lips were this perfect blend of pink-- a peachy pigment with yellow undertones.
Scorpius caught himself thinking about Abus's lips and shook his head, turning back to his trunk.
Oh my god, Scorpius thought happily, I'm actually going to spend Christmas with Albus.
A/N Hi guys! I know I'm very new and don't have that many views, but if you could give me some feedback and constructive criticism that'd be amazing! Thank you all. (:
