A few days had passed, and nothing happened. Scorpius and Albus kept sleeping in the same bed, and days went normally. They went to a park, Christmas shopping, to a coffee shop, and to a homeless shelter to deliver toys (Humble Harry's idea, of course.).

It was Sunday morning. Scorpius woke up first as always, and stared out of the little window next to Albus's bed. Scorpius was lying near the wall, which made it quite difficult to climb over Albus when he had to pee in the middle of the night.

Scorpius shifted his gaze from the beautiful sunrise to the sleeping boy with messy, curly, hair next to him. Scorpius stared at Albus longingly, but he didn't quite know what he was longing for.

About an hour passed, and it was now 8:14 a.m. Albus stirred and yawned. Scorpius, who had been gazing at him, quickly turned his head back toward the window.

"Morning, Scorp." Albus said sleepily.

"Morning, Albus." said Scorpius with a soft smile.

The smile made Albus blush, and he didn't know why. Scorpius saw the cherry color in Albus cheeks, and felt his heart speed up.

You can't fall in love with your best friend,  Scorpius thought to himself, Don't mess up the only friendship you have.

"Quidditch?" asked Albus stretching.

"Yeah," replied Scorpius, "Let me change."

Albus and Scorpius changed, sneaking glances at each other's bare chests every now and then. Albus didn't know what he was going to do. He was falling for Scorpius.

                                                                                      ......

James and Lily ended up joining the Quidditch match. James realised how much of a jerk he was being to his little brother, so he was trying to make up for it by helping in any way he could. Lily, well, she was kind whether she meant to be or not.

It was a long match, and even Ginny and Harry walked out to watch it. Albus and James were on a team, while Lily and Scorpius were on the other. Albus and James ended up winning, which was expected. They were fantastic at Quidditch.

After the match, it was nearly sunset. Dinner was ready, but everyone smelled disgusting, so Harry and Ginny told them to go change.

Scorpius and Albus had already changed from muddy jeans and smelly t-shirts to sweatpants and fresh shirts. Albus was brushing his hair, and Scorpius didn't realise he was staring.

Albus saw Scorpius's gray, glossy eyes staring at him in the mirror. He stopped brushing and put down his comb. He looked at Scorpius through the mirror.

"Scorpius?" Albus whispered.

Scorpius felt his throat close and tears threaten. He shook his head and said nothing. Albus tore his eyes from the mirrored Scorpius and turned to the real one. Scorpius sniffed and smiled gently and looked into Albus's eyes.

Albus looked at Scorpius's eyes, then his lips, and then back to his eyes. He took a little step forward and Scorpius slightly gasped and swallowed. Albus stopped walking. Scorpius looked like he was going to cry, but he still had the small, soft smile dancing on his face.

Albus walked forward and took Scorpius face into his palm. Scorpius sighed into it and closed his eyes. Albus's hand was warm and soft, and it was exactly the place Scorpius wanted to be. Scorpius opened his eyes and glanced at Albus's lips. Albus took his free hand and pulled Scorpius to his chest.

Scorpius's heart was racing faster than it ever had. Albus's was too. Albus was feeling the three H's: Happy, Horny, and Heartwarming. Scorpius didn't know what he felt.

Albus suddenly dipped and pressed his lips onto Scorpius's.

Scorpius melted into the kiss. He had waited so long. Scorpius held Albus's hand. Albus took his and and traced it around Scorpius's chest. Scorpius realised what he was doing: he was kissing Albus. He pulled away suddenly and shook his head frantically.

"Albus, we can't--," Scorpius said breathlessly, and his voice broke.

"Scorpius," Albus said quickly.

Tears fell down Scorpius's face and he shook his head.

"Scorpius, I'm so sorry, please don't go--!" Albus pleaded, but Scorpius had already bolted from the room.

Albuus's lip trembled and he drew in a shaky breath.

Oh god, what have I done? He thought.

Scorpius ran down the stairs and rushed past James, who was lounging on a sofa. Scorpius was sobbing now, his nose was running and tears were flowing down his cheeks steadily. He found himself in the kitchen, where Harry and Ginny were cooking.

They turned and saw Scorpius crying harder than he ever has. Albus was running down the stairs now, sobbing just as heavily as Scorpius. Albus appeared in the doorway to the kitchen, tears staining his face.

"Scorpius..." he said shakily.

"I'm so sorry." Scorpius sobbed, and then ran out of the house and into the broom-shed.

"Albus?" Ginny asked.

Albus started crying again and ran after Scorpius in the night.
