The chocolate milk was left, untouched, on the table for Harry to find in the morning.
Now, nothing was "going on." It was far too early for that. But the boys sat in silence in Albus's bedroom.
Scorpius hid a grin. Albus laughed and his hand reached for Scorpius's. They held hands, backs against the bed, not speaking at all.
Maybe it was good. They had waited six years for this, after all. They listened to the thunder shake the window panes and basked in each other's presence.
After an hour or two of silence and contemplation, Albus yawned. He, unspoken-ly, hopped into bed, and Scorpius closely followed. They wrapped their legs around each other and went straight to sleep.
No one even mumbled a "goodnight."
