Dinner was rather awkward. Yes, the boys had hugged and made up, but that didn't change the fact that Albus had kissed Scorpius. The two allowed Lily to sit between them, which was honestly a relief, because Scorpius still felt like he was going to burst into tears at any moment.
Speaking of tears, both the boys were rather embarrassed for sobbing like that. Yes, they had cried in front of each other before, but Scorpius had cried in front of Albus's parents, and Albus had always tried to hide emotion from his parents.
After dinner, everyone went up to their rooms.
"Albus, are we okay?" Scorpius asked as he shut the door.
"Yeah, mate, I won't pull anything like that again, I'm sorry." Albus replied.
"It's alright." Scorpius said with a smile.
Albus turned to his little bed before saying, "Scorp, I can sleep on the couch tonight if that makes you any more comfortable."
"No, no, I told you, we're alright! I get it, you weren't really thinking, and... well, to be honest, I did kiss you back." Scorpius shyly answered.
Albus laughed a little, "Okay. And yeah, it was all a blur, you just looked so perfect standing there, and we were all alone, and I haven't kissed anyone in ages, and your hair was messy and blond and perfect, and..."
Albus turned white in the face as he trailed off. Scorpius was blushing a deep shade of pink.
Holy crap, did I really just say that? Albus thought.
"Yeah, no, I get it. It's fine." Scorpius spoke softly, gazing at Albus.
It soon turned into a staring contest. (Well, not really.) The two were so close, and locked eyes. They may have started kissing again if James didn't burst through.
"JAMES WHAT THE HELL?" Albus shrieked as he jumped away from Scorpius.
"Woah. Sorry dudes, just wanted to know if you wanted to watch Big Hero 6 with Lily and me." James innocently offered.
Albus was blushing furiously as he said, "Yeah, we'll be down in a sec."
"What's Big Hero 6?" asked Scorpius, also very red.
"You've never seen that movie?"James gasped.
"Of course he hasn't, he's a Malfoy," Albus laughed, "It's Disney gold, Scorp. You have to watch it."
Scorpius smiled and ran downstairs.
"But why did he have to die?!" Scorpius moaned, a pint of ice cream in his palm.
"It's a key point to the plot!" Albus yelled, throwing popcorn at Scorpius.
"But why?"
"Tadashi died because Hiro needed to get the courage to stand up for himself and realize how much he's worth!" James chimed in.
Albus chucked a pillow at James's head. He caught it and threw it back to me, but he missed and it smacked Scorpius's stomach instead.
Lily just giggled and hushed them.
About halfway through the film, Lily left with Ginny to work on some homework. James left to sleep in his room, and soon it was only Albus and Scorpius left.
Scorpius yawned and laid his head on Albus's lap. Albus stroked his hair and leaned back on the couch. Soon, they were both sleeping like a baby.
"Ginny, do you think they've made up?" asked Harry quietly as he looked on at the sleeping boys.
"I do, darling. And I think Scorpius is the best friend Albus will ever have." replied Ginny.
Harry smiled and put an arm around his lovely wife. They left the living room, where they had decided to let the boys stay asleep, and went back into their room, where they slept happily.
